Hey im TH7, Just wondering how you guy utilize dragons, and with what army comp. I've been BARCHing a lot and it seems to work very well for some bases, and the opposite for others.

3 Dragons, 10 Giants, 5 Wallbreakers and the rest a mix of Archers and Barbarians.
6 Dragons - Rest minions. Look for players with weak air defenses. Use minions to destroy critical buildings or in groups of 4-5 to destroy critical defenses.
Giant/Healer with a pair of dragons.
Giants, Archers and Dragons (use archers and giants to take out AD)
I'm a late TH7. I have all buildings and walls done, so gold and elixer is not a concern.
My BK is lvl5, minions are lvl2, so I'm just saving DE for my hogs...then off I go to TH8!
I've been at 1500-1600 trophies going for DE only and I'm using:
8 dragons & 40 archers
-Deploy dragons in a corner of a base in a ^ shape. Use the archers to clear out the buildings on the side, this allows the dragons to go through the center of the base.
If DE is not an issue, I would use the following for trophy hunting:
8 dragons & 20 minions
-Deploy the dragons in a corner or along the side of a base. Deploy the minions directly behind the dragons. The dragons act as a meat shield and the minions do the clean up work.

Do the dragons not get completely annihilated by the AD?
When using a large number of air troops such as dragons, you need to find a base with an air defense that you can easily reach with your troops. Either use rage spells to get it out of the way asap, or use 3 lightning spells on the air defense that is the biggest threat/hardest to reach with troops.Originally Posted by JekJek
Nope...firstly, I always make sure I pick a base that's worth raiding. I go for DE, so I look for 700+ DE, otherwise I press next! I usually aim for a 2 star victory.
Secondly, pick the right base. Look for bases with:
1)ADs that are currently being upgraded. Deploy near the active ADs and use rage spells to destroy them ASAP.
2)ADs that are outside the base or only behind one layer of wall (use archers to pick them off)
3)ADs that are spread out. If a base has all their ADs near the middle, it's going to be impossible to crack!
Thirdly, using dragons with minions makes ADs less effective. With so many air units raiding the base, the ADs will be overwhelmed. So definitely try dragons & minions if you want to trophy push with dragons.
