Your last achievment or how long does helter smelter take fcol!

I finally got the fisherman achievment, you know the one where you have to catch so many pounds of fish. All that's left is helter smelter. I have played almost non stop since last august and those smelters have been going non stop with three or more slots since then and I still have a lot to go. So here's my question. What was/is your last achievement? Now those of you who have finished a while ago but had to start again when they added some, don't tell me those. But which one took you the longest? Is it the smelter one? Or is it one you didn't know was there so didn't work towards?

You'd think the smelter one would be easier since you have five smelters working towards it. I don't remember how many the first and second took, but the third takes 3800 hours. If anyone has those numbers, I'd like to do some math to see how much time they should take. I think the equation for all three would be something like
Total number of hours for all three achievements, divided by 5 (smelters) divided by an average of the number of hours for each bar. I know that it would be shorter of course if you only made silver bars, but that's not likely as most would do whatever ore popped out of the mine. So fellow math nerds. What do you think?

I completed the helter smelter a week ago and it took me about a year to finnish. But I have only 4 smelters because I don't want 5. I don't remember the hours so cant help you with that.

i still have Patronage and Citizen kane Left. I have to sell bots 474 times to finnish Patronage. Harder one is Citizen kane because I sell mostly to my friends. Have 1401 adds to make....

Well I only have 19 more achievements to do. An that one smelter is gonna take forever. I only have 3 working however I'm now out of shovels TNT stuff now. So ugh!! Not sure which all I have left to do tho. I'm only level 49. So I think I've done pretty good to only have 19 more to go

What kind of bar you make doesn't matter; if you make only silver bars, you'd end up making more bars than if you only made platinum bars. But only the total hours matter as your smelters are running the same amount of time.

For the level three achievement, at 6180 hours, so that's 1236 hours for each smelter (6180/5). With 24 hours in a day, it's 51.5 days you need to run (6180/24). So you have about a month and a half for the last star alone. That's assuming you have the max number of smelters.

For the level two achievement, at 1540 hours, you're looking at 12.83 days, if you have maxxed out your smelters.

And for the level one achievement, at 390 hours, you're looking at 3.25 days, if you have maxxed out your smelters.

So, in a perfect scenario, where you are able to buy all five smelters to start, and you have them running non-stop from the beginning because you have an unlimited ore supply, you are looking at 67.58 days to achieve three stars. If you're like most people, you started out with one smelter and ran that until you could eventually add more, so the time drags out beyond two months.

I'm currently at 2382 hours working towards level three; still have a long way to go!

So I think you're looking at a minimum of 253 days to unlock the last achievement, assuming five smelters and making only silver bars. That's of course not realistic, unless you scorn making jewelry and are only making silver bars to sell, and you have unlimited supplies of silver ore. Definitely a long-haul achievement..

If you are in the above scenario, I would be happy to buy your silver bars :-)

Yeah I got mastery ( that's the star thing) some time ago. And while I do seem to have an endless supply of ore since I send tommy boy for shovels mostly, it is still taking FORevvvvvvvvvvvvver. No way someone can just play a short while and get this one. Even with maxing out the slots and only playing enough to keep them full ( nine slots times say 11 hours average per bar) means having to re cue every 90 or so hours, it still will take a long time. I got a pm saying the wiki had the answer. Going to check it out.

I'm not sure if the number reset every time you get the achievement. Well...I mean if I just completed helter smelter II, Will the metal bar count reset to zero?


(On the other hand, I don't wanna calculate it. It'll just make me feel bad that I need to wait for X month until I get the achievement. )

This might change my strategy, lol. I need 2784 bars left to reach HS III. I only have three smelters, but run them 24/7 as much as possible. My smelters are mastered, so I don't know why I keep making gold and platinum bars. I don't care much about the jewelry, though that machine is not mastered yet and I HAVE been making them. Hum, choices, choices.

Hum, may be selling some bars and ore in the near future. I DO still have to make the last gold bar achievement...need 1017 more for that one.

Yeah, HS III will be the last one for me for sure. I only have 2 smelters, fully mastered, but uhm...I'm guessing it will take me two years (if I'm not bored of the game by then hehe).
