Not much to teach. At 3700+ you HAVE to gem. You spend all day in clouds and it can take 1-2+ hours to find a decent trophy offer.

Once got to masters without gemming..... I admit it was hard work and took a lot of skill. But it's proof it can be done without using gems.I mean succeed at cup hunting
Nobody can answer that question without knowing the absolute definition of gemming.
We're talking 3700+ or 3800+. Dont happen without gems.
