Do your heros sleep or guard?

Ive just been thinking to myself whenever im constantly attacking throughout the day what to do with my heros when i log off even for a short time? Wandering if you'd rather have your heros protect your base from the next raider and maybe not have them ready for your next raid or just let them sleep and take the risk of not having them on your defense? I personally leave them on guard just because but wandering what everyones thoughts may be.

It depends whether you farm or trophy hunt. But I prefer my bk to sleep so he won't get damaged so when i get back on he is not regenerating, but when your trophy pushing, you can leave him guard to defend your base and make your enemy waste some troops

    Guard

I'm trophy pushing, and having my bk on guard, will cost the attacker some troops, to just lure him out and destroying him, would cost the enemy 20-30 barbarians

Defensive purpose: To plant a seed of annoyance in attackers brain

Sleep. I use my king for attacks all the time so if I'm off for 2 hours the if I've been attacked he's safe and i can use him again. As for overnight im just killing 10 of his troops as he is drawn out. When i get queen she will be on duty though
