In my honest opionin, I don't like the design. red font? why not black, its easier to read. Simple things like that are being over looked.

From a coder myself I think these changes should be made:

• Don't center everything
• Back image should not be behind the body of text
• The font family isn't nice, try arial or helvetica

You may be able to code but you need to work on the design.

I can code, though I'm a bit rusty. And another thing is, I think the login/register bar should be on the right, rather than the left, as it looks weird to us Australians - not sure whether your country is right before left or left before right.

Btw, if you're looking for an alternative there's a software called SMF - Simple Machines Forums
Search it up, it's really really really convenient and provides many great platforms for posting and stuff. It's a forum type of website, however, it's easily customizable.

Install the package and it already includes a PM system, setting up boards etc.

Why not have it centred? Most websites nowadays are centeted.

First, gather ALL information you are likely to put on that page. Group them in blocks then use CSS styling to make your layout. Think of it as a collage. This way, by changing the CSS file, you change the layout easily.

You are making a service for people, if you don't let them customize font and colour, cope with something neutral. Or else, make some templates they can choose from. Will save you time later when they want their clansite customized.

For now, I cannot tell if there is space reserved for other info. Would the page is too long afterwards?

Yes the website is centered in the screen but don't center align all the text and information
Don't have a background image behind the text, just have it white and use the image to fill in the white space.
