Ballonions will always be hard/impossible at TH8 imo. There is an enormous jump between lvl 5 and 6 Balloons.

Personally, I Barch push. I have never done this as a TH8, so i don't know how you will fair.

As a TH8, your best bet is probably being very patient and sniping TownHalls. I know quite a few TH8's that have got to Masters like this.
