[Project] Let's build a TH8 base that can push to masters

Just started lv 4 hogs in the lab, now I'm going to test this base as I start to softcore push and farm walls.

Are you serious? Lol is masters the new gold? TH outside is your best defense there. You have more walls for a stronger base, and if you are lucky you will just get TH sniped. Otherwise, like rjdofu said, you will just get 100% what would you rather to for? A nice 12 hour shield and you lost 5 trophies if you are lucky? Or a rare 30% of a failed hog! no shield! and you get 3 starred after, and lose more trophies than you gained? Going to masters on defense is impossible, sorry to break it to you. A TH9 army can wipe out a strong TH8 base, a TH10 army has no boundaries. They will 3-star you like there is no tomorrow. The best you can hope for is a TH snipe or a 2 star.

Yep. Maybe try both and see which works better: TH inside or out.

The only time you'll win a defence with your TH inside would be against an underestimating TH8 trying to 2-Star you.

The fallacy in this argument is that it assumes that it is worse to be 3 starred by someone in you league then one or two starred in revenge. You are still going to get revenged, but people are more likely to revenge you if all they have to do is drop a couple archers or barch. I don't think anyone seriously expects to get to masters with only defense, but it's a fun thing to try to do and if you are not going to contribute please shove off.

And with the amount of th9 and 10 up there, your chance of winning as a th8 is next to zero, and reallistically speaking, your chance of winning consistently all the way to master is absolute zero.

Of course you guys can do whatever you want to do, who am I to say otherwise. I'm just saying that you should try to push to master first, taste the real thing up there, and build your base accordingly, don't sit in gold or crystal and think you'll have a shot without experiencing anything first.

I will be joining in helping to create a th 8 base....but let me say this 1st...designing a base that looks weak, is probably going to be weak lol...i like to go off of intimidation and now i can farm my way up to crystal 2 as a th 8 but i cant get to crystal 1(which is odd) but i dont win from trap bases or solid bases i get my wins from unconventional bases..bases nobody really knows how to attack, not even experienced th 9s and 10s.

I think that should be the aim, to create a very unconventional base(like the anti giant one posted a while ago) but one that stops basically, troops that target defenses or atleast limit the damage they can deal to us. If you dont like the idea of an unconventional base then maybe a one star base is more up your lane(a base that trys not to get above one star)not with the th outside or anything but a base(as i said earlier) that limits the damage but sacrifices a small amount of cups.
