Should I stop to Get purple walls?

Start upgrading and do your walls while upgrading.
Purple walls don't take that long.

I second this advice. Purple walls are nice to have, but don't halt progress on getting L5 troops or upgrading army camps/bk (hello DE drill!) just for purples. Purple walls are cheap enough to get done in between upgrades or while your TH is building.


Also, whoever said L6/L7 walls are the same, they aren't. I can destroy a lvl 6 wall with 1 wb and a couple of slaps from a giant. A L7 wall needs 2 wb's. L7 are much better than L6 in my opinion.

Yes but its a double edged sword, I maxed walls within a week (th7) and now rarely get attacked by noobs. Every time I get attacked its by someone who knows what they are doing and usually another maxed th8 that wrecks my base. So yeah it repels noobs but attracts strong players that basically can run through your base and take your resources.

When my defenses were upgrading/not maxed and had some pink walls, I'd get attacked by another th7 or idiot th8 and they'd get one star and fail and resources were somewhat safe.

I feel the same. Since upgrading my walls to level 7 it's like the amateur players are just 'nexting' my base, this leaves all the pro's to wreck havoc all over my base.

You guys are not looking at the big picture.

The longer you neglect your walls, the longer it's going to take to catch up. Not only that, as you increase to TH8/9/10, upgrades will become more expensive, leaving less excess gold for you to dump into walls, so your wall progression won't even get faster to help catch up. Next thing you know, you'll be done upgrades but your walls will be pink or purple. By that time, you will have dug yourself a big hole and it will be a slow and frustrating predicament to get yourself out of, one that requires hardcore gold farming.

why put yourself in that hole down the road? Fix your walls now while the fix is quite easy.

No need to halt the upgrade - get your builders working again at th8. If you are worried, make walls an early priority while you are also upgrading army camps, lab, and troops with elixir.

After you max a building for that TH level, then you may consider a plan to cover that building with upgraded walls. I always make enough to cover the TH, then the storages, then the splash etc...

Or, have a set number of walls per week to complete. (I used to do walls on the weekends in TH7 and 8)

at any rate you need a systematic way to complete them while you do other upgrades. I try to stagger the finish times as much as possible. so a builder frees up every two to three days. its not always possible but it helps.

example. I do walls while my teslas upgrade.. since they take ages, Ill do smaller projects with the 'free builder' like bombs and collectors while the teslas and or A/Def builder is under construction. this way I can raid and still keep builders on small projects and dump excess gold into walls to keep all builders busy.

but that was up to lvl 7. anything below that is pretty easy to get going.
Skull and above take more time and dedication to farm while you get other buildings maxed out for the TH you are at. (and more dedicated planning)

Walls are similar to Teslas in that if you put them off, then they will be the last thing you upgrade, and you will feel the need to upgrade your TH but will be stuck with no gold sink besides the walls (or teslas, A/Defs and waste a lot of builder efficiency)

If you can get them done at the Current TH then get them done.

I would recommend farming and maxing all of your walls at your TH Level before moving on ... you will be glad you did later on down the road

Walls are a dangerous addiction. Immediately see a doctor if your builders become neglected for over a week to walls. Side affects may include an epic gold grab score. Use only as directed. Remember you can always find help.

lol, I should see a doctor. Till my walls are done one of builder is called the wall builder ... i have maxed out.. before any other defence always.

just crossed 190 million gold grab, doing my skull walls for th8.

well I figured out what to do I will get as many walls as I can while doing upgrades like maxing my mines and getting barracks to lvl 9 ... maybe a bk upgrade

Get at least 1/4 purple walls which means finish the walls in the core of the base at least.

simple rule: max out all your walls before upgrading th . That includes th8 and 9. When your done , don't thank me for that.You will be darn satisfied and glad that you farmed hardcore earlier. Suffer now or suffer later .
