I was thinking of doing the exact same thing... it seems that having heroes upgrading for a week at a time is incredibly painful when DE farming, so my thought was to farm the dark and gem the build times to make it easier for me to farm more dark elixir per day. Seems like the most efficient way to upgrade them if on a budget as most of us are.

That said, I'm not even close to farming 100k DE per day and will still probably take me a 6 months with gems. Amazing achievement!

Its a nice shortcut Nate i recommend it if you have the condition. Once you get your AQ to lvl 40 it will be twice easier to farm for BK. Use a single rage on AQ and enemy defenses will be smashed. Thank you

Sadly that appears true. That is SuperCells way of making money out of us farmers.

Because players think like this we will never be able to use heroes upgrading either. Which is something a few forumers have battled for in the past.

Exactly daz. I felt like i d quit the game before i really achieve in game whats in my mind. So i decided to make it quicker till i get bored and achieve whatever i am going to achieve before i quit the game.

Congrats on maxing your heroes !
Waiting period on them is just painful. i have hardly even used my AQ since i reached Th 9 ;( And real grind is yet to begin.
I won't gem. But i won't farm heroes until i reach TH 10. I will then sit back and relax with loonion raids
