Why you guys farm DE on TH7 / TH8?

Again, I come with another controversial and debatable thread... lol..

TH7 advantages is still able to farm TH6 guys. but we know... those guys don't have any DE
TH8 still able to farm TH7 guys, but we know too... finding th7 with 1K+ DE available is like finding a miracle, those TH7 also don't have any drills to be farmed.

so, for farming DE, we will farm TH8+ guys rite? And TH9 still able to farm them without loot penalty (for TH8 it's 10% but I think 10% doesn't make any difference and the most DE will come from TH9/TH10)...

If those to loot available DE is just the same for TH9 and TH7, why bother using lv.4 troops to get those dark things?
Isn't it will be so much easier to get if you're using Lv.6 troops?

If it's for the challenge, like the recent crazy TH5 snipe to champion, I will not complain
but for effectiveness, I think it's just waste of time and effort which you can do this so much easier with TH9 troops.

Always farm dark elixir. Just stock up on it for heroes. Im th8 now(got here quite recently) and already barb king lvl 9. That was the one mistake I made on main account - leaving heroes for last

Because I'm a TH8 and my DE upgrades are cheap. It's not too hard to farm DE at TH8, just barch 800+ hits on weakly protected storages or drills near 1700+ and it's really easy to save for upgrades. I farmed out a full storage before my TH finishes to 9 and it wasn't too hard, I just had to raid in 2 hour sessions. Currently sitting on 80k DE plus 450 in my drill
I will say that I can't wait for TH9... Two max drills along provide 4800 DE a day and the L6 troops +20 camp space will be a welcome boost.

I farmed DE extensively as a Th8, got lvl 4 hogs, and fought my way to Master.

To upgrade your dark elixir troops and upgrade the barb king... DUH

Yes the advantage of TH7 is to farm TH6 (or TH8 is to farm TH7) bases, but that doesn't mean you can't get DE from easy TH8+ bases with semi-exposed DE storage.

I usually farm DE when my gold storages are full and waiting for builders, which happens a lot if you're active, so no time wasted.

I find it one of the challenging parts of the game, farming DE from higher TH level bases.

And again, BK ability is so useful. It helped me a lot pushing to masters at TH7.

Lastly, most BAMmers will need DE for minion upgrades.

Might do some de farming at TH8, but I want to mainly do it at TH9 for amazing loot from TH10 and 8. At TH7-8, de just comes and goes, mainly goes though. TH9 I want to mainly de farm to get my heroes up for TH10, and if getting it from inactives, shouldn't be hard maintaining gold. DE isn't too hard to go for though, easy to get 400+ from certain raids. I got really lucky with 2 2400 de raids before.
