    Introduction
    Hello Everyone! My IGN is TheProfessor and my clan is Immoral Thieves, so please feel free to look me up! (The clan is only me)

    I'd like to introduce my first base design, a TH8 farming base named The Ladybug. I love symmetry and so it was actually named after the complete design since it's shape seems to resemble that of a lady bug. Special thanks to Pingfao and Orz for some of the inspiration for the base and my motivation to continue on base design. Second thanks to Orz for a basic outlay for my thread! Oh, Also thanks to R3taliate for being the first to criticize and also help me out with the funneling on the bottom corner!

    I would like to use this thread to keep you updated on any changes I make on the base as well as to keep people interested in base development!

    NOTE: This base is not to defend your elixir, which I have a never ending supply of. Also, since some of these folks can't read I'll put it in bold...MY DEFENSES ARE WEAK. I JUST UPPED MY TOWNHALL 3 DAYS AGO. WAIT A BIT FOR MORE UPDATED DEFENSE LOGS. THANKS.

    Form and Function
    This base has multiple funnels and is used in order to drive people to raid from the sides. Since it does seem like a Southern Teaser, it can also defend against those who choose to attack from the bottom.
    The upper corner with the tesla and the two "antennae" was designed due to the extra walls I had. However, they actually ended up serving a function. If wallbreakers divert away from the corner, they are forced to split or get destroyed by the tesla before reaching the wall. If they split the rest of the troops are forced in either direction forcing them towards splash and spring traps.

    Obviously, an attack from the side will make the attackers troops go through the maze which is mined and spring trapped. An attack from hogs from the sides or bottom are prevented from the traps as well.



    Past Trials

    Trial #1 (The initial design and Base)


    The defense logs for this base design. Once again this is with TH7 bases and the attacks weren't that strong. I only used this initial design in order to test my funneling. However I ran into a problem which is described below.



    The Problem with this base was that the funneling didn't work that great. When attacked from the left side by a Giant Healer strategy, the giants were forced into the funnel initially. However, when the hidden tesla popped up, the giants redirected their efforts to the wall in front of the tesla instead of going for the archer tower in the first layer of defense. Shown Below. **I fixed this in the current design and have yet to be attacked by a Giant Healer Strategy.



    Trial #2 (Ended 3/14/2014)


    Main issue with this base was the lack of AD COVERING BOTTOM. Also, once the giants penetrated the bottom defense of wizard and mortar there was a lack of defense. So far the patching when attacked from bottom is Cannon, Spring, Archer Tower, Wizard, Mortar. Switched Wizard towers and AD and reorganized walls and trap placement.

    - Segmented Gold and Elixir Storage
    - Centralized Barbarian King
    - Funneling and Spread Trap Placement
    - Staggered Junctions
    - Spread Point Defense Coverage
    - 100% Symmetry Left and Ride Sides



    Updates and Fixes
    (3/14/2014) Some have been pointing out a lack of air defense at bottom. I took some suggestions into account. Since the bottom is lacking in AD AND AT. And there was a lack of defense after they penetrate the bottom WD and mortar. Therefore, I switched the wizard tower and AD positions and redid a little bit of the air mine and wall placement. We'll see how it goes. Will post image in a couple hours.

    I'm using ur original design, with some of the tweaks R3taliate did and a few I did with point defenses, I have only been sniped but it has been 9 defenses one stared and few resources stollen

    you can look me up at clan Assessinos, 23 members, my IGN is 5l3de5ma

    I'll keep testing it and waiting for a real atack

    air coverage at bottom is extremely weak. I can take that lvl 1 AD out with 2 lvl 5 lightning, take out those 2 bottom archer towers really easily, maybe a couple minion/balloons on each side, and theres no air protection really, wiz towers do no damage 30-40 minions, and 2 lvl 5 lightning can two-star this base pretty easily im sure. im sorry, this doesn't seem very strong. and if u got 2-starred to a lvl 6 giant-barb-archer(-WB-hero) army, and with only 2 storages just about to be touched, theres a bit of a problem.

    Lol how about you read the thread before you come in here with criticism that isn't constructive. I know defense is weak. I just upped from th7. Holding level 6 attacks with upgrading defenses I think is pretty good, taking into consideration that I dont have a single th8 upgrade and no cc troops.
    Secondly do you even know where my AD covers? It pretty much covers the entire bottom up to the de drill.
    If your just talking about my level 1 AD then lol...yeah read the thread first. How bout you come back when I have my defenses done catching up. Maybe then the pictures will be enough for your brain to handle without words.

    Read. The. Thread. And look at the base 2 elixirs are outside on the first layer of defense. It's not for defending elixir which I have a never ending supply of. I'll make it more clear for you folks up top

    1st 3 star

    I got my first real atack,

    Two archers towers where upgrading, the one on the right and the bottom one.

    A TH10 found me and thought 150k each and 580 DE was enough to make the effort to attack, he three stared me attacking from the lab down with

    8 Giants lvl 6
    20 Barbs lvl 6
    45 Archers lvl 6
    8 WB lvl 6
    5 Minions lvl 5
    15 Hogs lvl 4
    39 Gob lvl 5
    BK lvl 10
    AQ lvl 9

    CC are included in that count,

    I'll keep testing

    PD. There's not much different I could have done, not matter what base i had

    Is that the old design? You should try the new one.

    I got attacked by hogs level 3 and Giants level 6 but they only got 62% (They also had other units like gobs, BK and AQ). They attacked from the bottom, when my bottom wizard tower was upping, 1 archer tower, 1 AD, and with th7 defenses. It seems like a lot of people like attacking from the bottom, i might re-do my trap placement.
