-A new townhall ability to house troops that protect the village- "the militia" update
The townhall troops could be used for defense only. Think of a "militia" donated from your clan mates.![]()
- Townhall 9 + and above 3200 cups- 15 troops 75k gold- cost to request
- Townhall 9 + and above 3000 cups- 10 troops 50k gold- cost to request
- Townhall below 8 or below- Ability not available- ZERO troops as defense/offense balance is already optimal.
For those with townhall 9 or 10, you would have the option to opt-in or opt-out based on your need for cups. Farmers would opt-out and save the gold, while cup earners would opt-in to get that defense! My estimates for gold are conservative. I'd rather spend gold on militia than walls!
Troops would need to be donated from clan mates. Requests for these townhall troops could be made only after the troops are used. It would cost gold to request.
The townhall would be a defensive building. The AI would be vastly different to the Clan Castle. Troops would defend only when the townhall is targeted. Troops like archers would shoot from the very top of the townhall. Once a troop is targeted by militia, it is targeted untill the attacking unit is killed or the militia troop is destroyed.
This idea would do two things. First, it would promote clan loyalty and activity. Second, it would give those higher cup players a chance to win a defense and neutralize the Iron Fist.
Townhall militia troops and Clan Castle would not behave the same way. Clan Castle troops are used for attack and defense. Townhall troops are like a militia. They would only be used for defense. The biggest issue at chamption and master level is the defensive imbalance.
For my militia at townhall 10, I would use a valk and some archers.
Only the top 2 townhalls would be impacted as these are the townhalls of 99% of all black and red leagurers, where defense wins are nearly impossible as you go up the chain.
