as for your idea, a new skin does in fact require a lot of coding and work. And also, it would probably cause a lot of server lag. Think of all the stuff they'd have to re-texture. For example, they would need to re-texture:

Wizard Tower
Tesla
XBow
Inferno Tower
Barracks
Dark Barracks

Spell Factory
