Second account is also commonly used for checking the enemy's cc troops! Hence, I have to leave the clan before each time I log off!

Well, technically speaking players shouldn't even have second accounts (ToS, heard of it?). The only reason SC let it slide is because they don't think multis are giving players an unfair advantage.

Trust me, when the top 50 players all belong to one person, or when a family of 6 clans consist of only 10 players and their multis, i'm sure SC will start taking action against multis. However, i don't think we should wait until then, for i feel that the phenomenon is already steering towards that direction and SC should start taking action now.

I glanced through this post and saw a couple people mentioned this, but I wanted to elaborate how pointless this post was.

You can all debate whether or not multiple accounts is fair until you're blue in the face, but it doesn't change the fact that Supercell has no way of legitimately enforcing it.

For example, I have an iPhone and an iPad, does that mean I can't create 2 accounts? How are you going to determine those 2 accounts are actually the same person if the iTunes accounts used to create them are different, IP address? Ok, that will only work assuming I'm only using my wifi connection, not the devices LTE service. Additionally, what if my wife wants to create a CoC account, should she not be able to because she has the same IP address as me when were both on our wifi?

Now that you can't stop people with multiple devices from creating additional accounts, do you set it up so you can't switch between them on devices? Say, for example, the base is actually wiped like the warning says when you change between them. Here's the problem I have with that, my wife has now created a CoC account on her phone, I have a CoC account on my phone, but we share the iPad. She wants to play CoC on the iPad, but my account is already loaded, so either she can't, or my base gets wiped? Seems a bit absurd, and on top you still haven't solved your problem because now all the people who want to have another account can just use a different device.

Where does this end, with a bunch of hardcore CoC players just having a bunch of devices to play their different accounts, thereby actually making the problem you're trying to solve far worse.

Right now there is absolutely nothing unfair with someone having multiple accounts because everyone has the ability to do it. It is no more unfair than other players buying gems or spending more time farming to upgrade their walls while you do not. Making the decision NOT to have multiple accounts is your personal choice, and there's honestly no reason you have to have more than 1.

Summation: The benefits are MINIMAL for the amount of time investment required to do anything useful with a 2nd account, while the challenges with enforcing the policy are extremely complex. Do you really want Supercell wasting time working on this, while they could be working on releasing new content?

To Sandalhats point here, extreme outliers in usage like this would be obvious to CoC, and I'd be surprised if CoC didn't take action at that point by banning the accounts. I don't agree that they would take action against all multis, just that player abusing it. The only way of handling this is with one off situations like this, which is the primary reason why that statement was added to the TOS to begin with, so they had a legitimate reason to ban these accounts.

First of all, i already mentioned in the OP that this thread is not to discuss whether it is possible to identify multis or not. Rather, it is more of a moral and ethics discussion. You probably should have read properly before you wasted your time on 80% of your post.

Secondly, i think you need to realize that it is against ToS to have multiple accounts, before you start questioning what's wrong with having multiple accounts.

i'm not sure how the other accounts can shield the main?

i agree with the others that who cares where you are getting the troops from. if your not in a major clan it sucks to need troops and not be able to get any. if your in a major clan my guess is that you have no problem getting troop donations.

it does seem odd if the top players and clans are only a few players with multiple accounts, but after all only a few conglomerates may own certain industries or businesses in the real world so who knows....

many big name farmers use multi accounts to donate to main account while main account just continuously farm. it has been recommended by many in order to have constant high level wiz/drags, i don't think that's fair.

There are several reasons for one to have multiple accounts, mainly as follows:
    1) player is bored of the game at higher level TH and wants to experience low level gameplay again

    2) players using second account with maxed troops to try out new army combo before implementing it on main account.

    3) players using second account to shield themselves at high level gameplay.

    4) players using multiple accounts with maxed troops to constantly and exclusively donate high level troops to himself and clan.

So, personally i find that some of these usage of multiple accounts are giving the user a HUGE advantage over those who do not have one.

It is clear that SC doesn't enforce their prohibition of multiple accounts. However i feel that it has come to a point where multis are interacting with main accounts a little bit too much these days to the point that i feel it is unfair.

Please note that i know that catching multiple accounts are nearly impossible and is not the point of this discussion.

So, what do you think? Which type of multi account usage do you think is unfair?

EDIT: Sorry that i forgot to include the "all are fair" option. If you feel that multiple accounts are fair game regardless of the usage, please let your voice be heard by posting.
actually the rule is multiple accounts on a single device so Jorge Yao's 5 IPads in shower is not breaking any rules and in a lot of countries ToS don't even legally apply

Okay in champ 500 trophies apart is as far as u can be to attack and if you check the top 200 leader board only 100 are within 500 trophies of no1 so if u have a second account also there they can attack main 40% sheild then leave
