Just added something at the bottom of the main post so we can direct this discussion elsewhere. We got side tracked into a debate that inactives are getting pushed so far back it is hard to find them. It is true new players pushing inactives back makes it hard to find them.
Please don't attack other people's posts! They are all just trying to say their thoughts and we should consider all of them.
I like to try to critique the concept, not the poster in order to prevent personal attacks. I do that by trying to not refer to the poster using the word " you".

Personally why I like to point out the distinction between being removed from the queue and being pushed back is for two reasons
1) SC has a system in place. The nature of the system shuffles and organizes who comes next when search for a battle based off who last logged off - more or less. Maintenance breaks and other things are SC going in and literally removing said bases. Not saying they might clear out some clutter, but those great loot finds aren't a part of the mix
2) The great loot you get from "inactive" is a misconception. Honestly the more I play and the more attention I pay 80-90% of those bases where I collector raid are maybe a day or two old at most. When I purposefully do not collect from my collectors they get about half full after a day, and if I get raid here and there it will take may 2-3 to actually fill those collectors. Maxed collectors at Th9 will yield 450,000 in resources (gold and elixir) when raided. How often do you actually find a base with near that amount of loot only in collectors, inactive x-bows and infernos?
I say this because I have been hanging out in Crystal I and above for a while. My clan mates often wonder about my "collector" raids at this level. But often these collectors are half full and a few of the defenses are still operational. Often I find these bases in the middle of the week at times when shields will be expiring. They are just people who didn't log back in to collect resources because they are otherwise occupied.
I very very rarely actually find a 100% inactive base.
People actually do Believe that SC removes inactive villages from the game which isn't true, farming is a acceptible term that almost everyone knows what it means, you don't hear anyone asking "What do you mean by remove?" which is spreading false rumors in the Community.
To be correct you would have to say, removed as in almost impossible to find in Trophy levels where alot of people play.
Which way is really the easier?
Explain to me why it's "necessary."
For cup pushing, an inactive would fall out of the high cups range for players trying to cup hunt. They won't have reloaded CCs, upgraded defenses, loaded infernos or xbows. So inactives don't really affect cup hunting.
For farming, it's absolutely unnecessary for SC to push back inactives. When you hit 8 million per upgrade, you need some resources being pumped back into the game. Me stealing from you means that we all get less loot. I'm not saying put all the inactives in the front of the queue, but it should be somewhat randomized.

Let's try this. Since "remove" seems to be too complicated, let's call the action of SC pushing inactives to the bottom of the queue "crab clawing".
SC crab claws bases. Better?
Agreed a th9 should be able to reach Master which is great if you want gems for the achievement or you want to cup hunt. To be fair tho for a TH& its quite an achievemnt and by no means easy, takes a lot of hours.
Anyhow the main topic here is inactives and how often they appear for match making. We should try and keep to the main topic.
