Skull walls at TH8, a must? or can be done at TH9

I seem to have the opposite problem, only 5 walls left to skull...will finally do them today. If you have the time to farm your storages full every other day or so, then go for it - they look intimidating

My defense on the other hand is still at lvl9 for cannons and archer towers, teslas at lvl3 and 2 air defense at lvl5...I will need about 6 weeks still to max defense... not sure I can last that long as clan members are all jumping to th9 soon 4 builders working 24/7

It's better to do it at town hall 8 because you have better loot. Which means you can get all skull walls even faster.

U should research all spells n dark troops, u dont use em now, but u might later down the road. Definitely have ur spells maxed

I consider TH8 to be the first TH where it isn't necessary to complete walls before moving on.

Max your defensive buildings, and upgrade your TH. Continue upgrading your walls, but don't hold yourself back, in order to do so.

or if you're close enough to having them done you could go ahead and upgrade your th to 9 and finish walls during that time and try to max gold storages right before your th finishes upgrading so you can get both xbows. just a suggestion

I've always stuck to the max out your base before you go on. it gets harder to max out your base the higher up in th you go. Im trying to get full legos right now because i know that when i go to th10 its gonna be harder to get loot. if i were you id stay at 8 and max those walls! plus lvl 8s look so much more badass

Not sure if you knew, but at TH9 you can also get lavas...

Try to do as many as you can before you maxed TH8. After that go to TH9. Lvl8 walls are perfectly doable, even at TH9. It's just a bit easier at TH8. But not that good, that it's worth having sleeping builders.

When i moved to TH9, I hadn't maxed walls, heroes or DE lab upgrades. Simple reasons:

1) Farming DE is very hard work at TH8.
2) Hogs and Balloonion don't care about what level your walls are.

Now I'm at TH 9, I've got a second DE drill so I can upgrade my Heroes and DE troops as priority. I'll have level 6 troops too which will let me take on bases with 1000+ DE allowing me to farm easier.

As for walls, I'll continue to grind crystal skull walls in between upgrades.

I recommend to do them all. In TH9 its kinda hard to get gold
