I've been TH10 a couple months, and I have to say that while the loot doesn't seem as good as it was at TH9, I still manage pretty well.
One thing I did find is that while I hovered in master 3 at TH9, once I moved to TH10 I got matched against way more TH10s there, and found I found I was better off dropping down into the 2400 range so I'd get matched against more TH9s or TH10s without infernos.
Now I haven't experimented too much, but when I went to champs at TH9, I actually made loot there more quickly most of the time even though I had to use stronger armies, and I suspect I could make that work for TH10 too, but I'm not really sure. I do think that dropping into gold though is going to give you too many lower level bases, and you're more likely to get high level farmers once again, plus it's no longer worth it to snipe for bonuses, so what I tried to do is find the natural range that most early to mid stage TH9s end up, which I think is about 2100-2500 trophies.
