"Optimize" Function for decreasing barrack Que time - and other ideas!

The following introduction is not important, its just a little bit about me, and why I came up with the ideas.

Hello, first, a brief introduction, My gamer name is Swarly, I like to view myself as a pretty serious gamer. I get drawn into, and addicted to any well-made, challenging game. Thankfully, Clash of Clans meets the criteria quite outstandingly.
I have never had much interest in mobile games. They are almost always either badly animated or missing ideas or have huge gaps in the overall function of the game. I like to think of CoC as a near perfect game, a couple of tweaks here and there would better the overall quality of life for players in the game. I thought hard before choosing these specific additions to the game, even thought about how it would affect the game in the long run, and quickly dismissed ideas that might impact the game negatively overall. Hope people can share my enthusiasm for these ideas so that it might one day be implemented. Thank you!

"Optimize" button for barracks. After selecting the troops for the next attack, the optimize button can be clicked to distribute all troops between available barracks for most time efficiency.

Explanation: This idea is the only one I truly hope Supercell would consider making available to players. Trying to que a large raid with multiple different troops to achieve equal time between all barracks can be quite frustrating when done over and over again, especially when some troops are left over from the previous raid. Having this button would save players a lot of time. And I speak for myself when saying it would make the game a whole lot more enjoyable.

"Undo" Undo option for the last move a player has just made e.g (If a worker is used on a building, it can immediately be stopped with NO consequences) can be used to undo only the most recent move. Raiding will disable the undo until a further action is made.

Explanation: Being at higher TH levels means that upgrading buildings can cost quite a good amount of resources. In lower levels, stopping an upgrade with a -50% consequence can be negligible. But having upgrades costing 2+ million means 1+ million is lost just for a miss click or a miss calculation before selecting the upgrade. This feature will allow players to make mistakes and not get punished -as- severely. Making the game more enjoyable with no consequences to the overall playability of the game. Disabling the function after raiding will stop players from trying to use this feature for any misuse. (For players that are familiar with the online game League of Legends this idea was inspired by that game. Where players are allowed to undo their last purchase in game with no consequences while previously also had a percentage of cost consequence)

"Share plan" and "Use plan" options in chat, so that players can copy a plan from a friend with ease.
How it can be done: The player clicking on "Use plan" can be directly navigated to the Village edit mode so that all similar buildings are instantly set up to match the copied player, and any discrepancies between both players buildings can be left for the player copying player to manually set.

Explanation: This idea would allow players from the same clan or from the global chat to show other people their "impressive" setup, and would allow players to copy any setup they like to use for their own. One of the most frustrating things for me in the game was trying to setup my village after upgrading to a higher TH level. I could see other players plans and would have loved to copy some of them, but this task was extremely difficult due to me having to memorize or take a picture of their village with a separate device before manually putting the village together piece by piece, which usually took hours. This function would hopefully save players a lot of time and eliminate one of the frustrating aspects of the game.

All these extra features should be made available only to players TH6-7 and up, and/or level 40 and up (figures are debatable), so that new players are not overwhelmed with all the different features. (Similar to adding the village edit mode at TH5)

    __________________________________________________ _______________________________________

The next ideas I consider to be sub-par ideas that I would like people to consider but the ideas are either just not extremely necessary or have been ruled out in a sticky. I would urge readers to skip this part if not interested in sub-par ideas.

"Save combo" option for barracks. After selecting the troops for the next attack, the "Save combo" option allows the player to save the troops currently selected for future use with a simple click while adding a name to the combo. e.g ("Healer powa!!", "Barbs and archers", "Greedy goblins", "Dragon annihilation" ...etc)
This idea can also be taken further by allowing players to que up an entire combo for the next attack.

Explanation: As previously stated in the "Optimize" idea. Probably the most frustrating part of the game is having to que up troops again and again for every attack. This function would allow players to save their favorite combos for use whenever they please, with a simple click. It will also allow players to easily experiment with new combos since queing up the new combo would be extremely effortless.

"Toggle ranges" option in village edit mode. To allow players to see ranges of all defenses at once to close any gaps within their defenses with an overview of the whole village.

Explanation: Not much of an explanation is needed. It is a fairly simple idea that would be useful. (Is currently ruled out)

Delete or return from the Clan Castle or Army Camps unwanted troops.

Explanation: Again a fairly simple idea that allows players to swiftly take out any unwanted troops from the Clan Castle that have been donated by mistake. Or from Army Camps that have been qued up with a miscalculation. (Refunding the cost for the troops is not necessary since players already get rid of unwanted troops in the Clan castle and Army camps by sacrificing them to the gods...or in this case the goblin single player mode)

Add options to builder huts. So that builders can be qued. Would allow builders to immediately start working on the next assigned building as soon as a builder is available. (Can also have the same option for que-ing troops in the research lab)

Explanation: I really hate inefficiency in anything I do. Having builders sometimes finish while I'm asleep sometimes ticks me off. Just knowing that hours have been wasted while I was asleep personally frustrates me. Adding this option would allow for more efficient usage of builders. (would allow me to sleep better at night, and focus while in class! :3)

Well, that's pretty much it for my post. I have spent some time coming up with ideas that I thought would greatly help this already amazing game be amazing..er? These ideas merely make quality of life changes for players for a more overall enjoyable experience.

Thank you very much for taking interest in my post !

    No, Be more careful

No, There's really no point, As some players may give a base with different buildings to others, etc

All these extra features should be made available only to players TH6-7 and up, and/or level 40 and up (figures are debatable), so that new players are not overwhelmed with all the different features. (Similar to adding the village edit mode at TH5)

Well, Some players have a town hall 4 and yet level 90, But they don't have Village edit mode, rethink it please.

Ruled out, So won't happen ever or for a very long time, So please read the sticky which is linked in my sig below.

Explanation: Not much of an explanation is needed. It is a fairly simple idea that would be useful. (Is currently ruled out)

Well, Might be useful, But I think when you place buildings, it shows how far for a few seconds, so no.

Delete or return from the Clan Castle or Army Camps unwanted troops.

    Tough and maybe ruled out.

Add options to builder huts. So that builders can be qued. Would allow builders to immediately start working on the next assigned building as soon as a builder is available. (Can also have the same option for que-ing troops in the research lab)

I appreciate the feed back, but I'm not quite sure you read the entire thing. I mentioned that some of the bottom ideas were already ruled out, but are worth mentioning, warned readers to not read if not interested in these ideas.

For the comments for the top ideas:
As for "Optimize" option, speaking for myself, I think this idea can really help make the game more enjoyable for me. Having to figure out how many troops to put in each barrack and use "math" (hate math ) to achieve the least amount of time spent in the barracks can be quite difficult. Having this button would really make life easier.

"Undo" Is not very necessary, but I do think it is worth considering. I explained pretty well how it can be implemented without players misusing this option.

"Share plan" and "Use plan" I am quite sure you have either not read the explanations entirely or understood them differently. When a player shares a plan with another player, the player copying the plan would have to manually set up buildings that the other player does not have. Or, if the other player has extra buildings the copying player doesn't have, they will simply not be put.

As for the level required to implement the ideas, having the level restriction just assures that the player now understands the game and will not be overwhelmed with the different functions. And a level 4 player (as you mentioned) would not need all these functions since they do not have a lot of buildings and troops to worry about.

    __________

Again, for the bottom ideas, I know most were ruled out in some form, but I just thought they were interesting and are a little different and better explained than the ruled out ideas so they might be re-considered. Please ignore the bottom list if they are not to your liking.

Well, This time you may have to do the math, but having rethought the idea, could be worth it, But, We have a Limit, e.g. 210 troops you can only train, Just put random amounts in each barracks untill you see 210/210, then go out of the game and play something else while troops train, or Talk with your clan mates.

"Undo" Is not very necessary, but I do think it is worth considering. I explained pretty well how it can be implemented without players misusing this option.
Not very necersassy as you said, Could be good for other players, but it can just be a waste of coding, time and money for Supercell.

Maybe then, But still, It might be a waste of time, just come up with your own base ideas, Hmmm.

Quote me on that if I didn't understand

__________So, Then get rid of the level assuring, Not everyone even understands the game at Level 60

Please don't mention Ruled out ideas if you know there ruled out, there's no point, we have heard them a lot, SC and the Mods have heard the ideas, it's inn the sticky for a REASON!!!!!!doesn't need to be discussed anymore.

Appreciate the feedback again, after browsing the forums I saw that Mastermind came up with an idea similar to what I had in mind for "Share plan" and "Use plan" I think he explains the concept better than I do.

    Here's his post: http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...pictures%21%29

And this is the direct quote
    "Sharing Layouts
The Share Layout option would work much like a Shared Replay and would appear in Clan Chat/Private Message, allowing others to use your base design as their own! I think there are definitely pros and cons to this option, the 1 con being preventing creativity from everyone, although most designs are copies of each other anyways and this option would save time. The pros would include promoting better community within clans, allowing more experienced clan members to literally share their base design knowledge with newer members, and many other good options. One of those options some clans could do is all use the same exact design for a trophy push or farm push, and have a base design act almost as another figurative Clan Emblem, distinguishing clan from clan. The whole Sharing Layouts feature is something I'm just throwing in and not necessary to include, although I think it would be fun!"

    1) This is asked for a lot.
I like balancing my barracks finishing times myself but can see how people would like it.

    2)
This would be nice. I like it, but it only catches people out once I expect!
(I went to TH9 a little early, and wanted to upgrade a troop before I upgraded the lab, but did lab instead. DOH!)

    3)
I would prefer being able to pass editing ability on your base to someone else.
Get rid of those conversations of:
"Move your top left most tesla in two squares and then shuffle the mortar across"
"to open up the air defense?"
"but that leaves me with 7 extra walls and no giant bomb!"

no one ever knows what anyone else means

Exactly! Glad to see there are people that share in my suffering with those little things

Hope other people share the enthusiasm, appreciate the input!
