Players heavily focus on their trophies and their rank in the trophy league table.
But the problem is - most players are farming - not cup pushing. So for the majority of players in the game the trophy rank is meaningless.
The idea suggestion is to form a farming league table. As a suggestion I've proposed a specific way it could work... but feel free to add comments and your views on how to do it.
1. Farming performance...
First the measure. People collect gold, elixir and dark elixir.
So the measure would be = Net farmed loot = Gold farmed + Elixir farmed + Dark elixir farmed (x a multiplier that Supercell would calculate based on the relative availability of DE in the game) - elixir consumed for troop and spell production - dark elixir consumed for troop production.
Troop production consumption would be based on trooped deployed in attack, not total troop building because you don't want to penalise those that build troops for clan donations.
2. It's a periodic measure...
Second, as the measure is a periodic concept not a point in time measure (like trophies), there is a need to specify the time period. I suggest three... an all-time measure, a past three months measure (the real measure of who the best farmers are currently in the game), and a current league measure (who's gaining the most right now)
3. Clan rankings...
As trophy clans compete for the highest ranking, farming clans could also compete with gems for the Top 10 farmers each league in each of the Top 3 farming clans.
As a modification to how trophy clan ranks work - I suggest farming clan rankings, and player entitlement to gems for being a top 10 farmer, be based on farming of players done during the league - while in that specific clan - to stop the formation of league clans that kinda make the whole league exercise pointless.
4. Rank filters...
It would also add interest for the many different players in the game if the league table could be filtered by player level and/or trophy league... so say a bronze 1 player could say "i'm the best bronze 1 farming player in the game".
If it was possible it would be nice to have a filter for non-gemmers for the league and quarterly rankings - kinda pointless to have gemmers dominating the farming rankings
Please comment on my idea... and add your thoughts.
NET FARMED LOOT = Gold farmed + Elixir farmed + (Dark elixir farmed x a multiplier that Supercell would calculate based on the relative availability of DE in the game) - elixir consumed for troop and spell production - (dark elixir consumed for troop production x same multiplier).
