When I search for bases, I only attacked those which had a ton a loot available to help maintain the long search period.
The second base you attacked in the video you posted is my favorite base design to attack. Almost always a 2 star with rage spells.

I enjoy using rage and heal cause if I know the 2 star isn't possible, I can reduce the use of spells with confidence to get the 50% and most of the loot. The 1 star raids are pretty disheartening with my army train time, 4 cups for at least an hour wait isn't worth it.

That is good feedback I was looking for. I am curious to see an attack replay where you not going for 2 stars. Do you still deploy all loons to clear half of base? Or do you deploy them around the base?

Id prefer to keep the loons close together, I like to deploy most of the loons towards 2 air defenses, the distance being roughly the diameter of a rage where I can have the loons ride the very corners of the spell...if possible.

With a base that has the loot evenly spread out, deploying the loons around the base would be the best bet or just concentrating on the side with the de storage.

depends on layout of course, but you can achieve 2 stars with relative comfort using around 30 balloons with rage/freeze combo. throw in a heal in the core at times. having freeze spells you can ignore xbow and inferno setting and often freeze a wizard tower or air defense too.
of course need to get rid of queen and cc troops before hand, but I successfully got to core th in defensively maxed bases several times, though the raid is extremely costly and you will not get tons of loot, expect for dark elixir maybe.

This is my aim now: Winning every match and gain most of the loots. I am targeting every storages and collector. The perfect result for me is one star + 1000/1000 loot left (TH). For once a blue moon, there is base not paying much respect to air attacks( xbows down, single target infernos), I have no problem giving it a 2 star with the current army build.

I can see people need to get more 2 stars win if they want to climb the ladder. It just doesn't seem worth it to me spending lots of gem on troops and spells while giving up half of loots for going for two stars. I'll wait for the game to be balanced on offense/defense to really try climb the ladder.

Yes, freeze spell comes handy to handle the hot hot infernal towers. I do believe you can achieve more 2 stars with more loons and rage/freeze spells. But it is more risky to go for 2 stars and not able to get all loots (most likely 50% of loots if it's evenly placed).

Would you prefer use double the cost with 50% loot to get better chance 2 stars? I am sure gem player would.
