Going to TH 9!

Well I'm about 1.5 months into th9 so I've just passed where you are going and here's what I saw early on in th9. First of all, the lab is a no brainer, do it first and then upgrade your farming army. I'm a BAM user so I upgraded barbs first. Barbs give you a nice boost at lvl 6 and are relatively inexpensive. I wouldn't do archers until later because they require 7.5 million elixir, which means you have to fully upgrade your 4th elixer storage b4 you can upgrade them and the jump in DPS is negligable.

Also, upgrade your camps ASAP! Offense is the name of the game here and getting yourself and additional 20 slots is huge.

Defensively, of course xbows are huge and that should be the first thing you spend your gold on. Then get all of your other new defenses up to th8 levels. From there you will see what you get hit most with. I personally am upgrading all of my point defenses first because of lvl 6 giants. At th9 the mortor turns into the least effective upgrade as it already one shots those archers.

For a base, use Ringus (just search the forums for it and you will find it). Not only is it good against hogs, but it's also great against giants because they go in a merry go round around the base.

Farming will get tougher but just use the same strategies you did at th8. With the extra 20 slots you still should be able to farm fairly well. I personally love BAM because it's just so fast. Around 1500 trophys is usually a good spot for gold at th9. Be careful not to drop under 1400 cuz then you get into th7 territory and the loot penalty kills you.

Well, have fun at TH9

I'd suggest you to max your Storages completely before going to TH9. These things should be your main priority after the TH upgrade:

1.) Lab (Barbs L6 is a good upgrade to start, they're relatively cheap and get a nice boost)
2.) X-Bows (They're one of the strongest defenses, plus they are intimidating)
3.) Clan Castle (Yes, 7,000,000 is a hefty price, but its worth it. The CC is great for offense and Defense.)
4.) Splash (Those Level 7 Mortars/Wizard Towers are extremly helpful)
5.) DE Drills (They are awesome)


And dont worry too much about loot. TH8 is a little better, but TH9 is definately ok.

I am very close to maxing my th 9 defenses then working a little more on walls.
But the loot is just fine, dont worry about it. There may be a little less then you currently find but youll get used to it.
I stay around 1500-1700 and find 200k gold collecotor bases after 5-20 nexts
And go 1800 and above to find 300-400k gold in the storages (which makes the game more fun)

Get lv 6 giants asap.
I find the transition to th 9 the hardest so far. and the day I got lv 6 giants was the day I felt I could start farming again.
have 6M gold/elixir and 40k DE at the start of TH 9 is the key.
Insta-finish the lv 1 queen.
Get the 2 xbows.
one on the lab.
the other 2 builders can get on anything except big elixir consuming buildings. try to save 6M elixir when the lab finishes.
Life gets a lot easier after that(lv 6 giants). Then do spell factory, army camp x 4. These are the cores to your farming. archers and barbs can wait a little.

Hey guys. I just started the upgrade to TH 9 as I am a maxed TH 8. Im a little scared, not because of defense I'm sure my defense can hold pretty well, but the real issue I've had with holding off my TH upgrade was the loot. I've seen numerous threads about higher TH's not finding enough loot and I'm hoping that does not happen to me. Could any Vet TH 9 give me a few advise for TH 9 loot and what i should upgrade first and maybe, perhaps a TH 9 farming base thats symmetrical as i'm OCD (Not really but like symmetrical bases) lol thanks guys. Also is my gold grab where it should be for a incoming TH 9?

I filled up all the resources before going to TH9 and it paid off pretty well. I mean i cld get the queen right away with all the gold for defenses and stuff. I also agree with upgrading the giant first, they play critical role in farming.

Im nearly in the same boat as you, just doing my walls now. Lvl 100 at TH8 is very impressive well done, as for your Gold Grab, it's the same as an every day maxed TH8 would have.....without some gems. I hope TH9 is good, from what I've heard its nothing like TH8, but worse.
