Even if the items are not to fill a boat, that might be the place to post requests to buy products.

Realistically, if someone wants coins for items like juice or jam, they can just put it in their RSS. They will sell at warp speed for max price. The only reason to go through the hassle of selling them to a particular person is to trade for something they can't easily get with coins, or to help someone out of the goodness of their hearts.

You're not allowed to ask for things in the giveaway thread, so the boat help thread seems like the logical place if you want something but don't want to trade for it.
