Next update timescale..

I'm curious why everyone is so excited about the possibility of Clan Wars? Having played MMO's for over a decade, one thing I know is relying on dozens of other people to accomplish a goal causes so much drama that it's rarely worth the effort.

Being excited because it's new is fine, but I would prefer something that can be done solo. Adding an enormous change that relies on being in a clan full of immature kids doesn't sound like the best idea to me.

Maybe I'm just not seeing the benefits.

Sure, there are clans out there that are great, but they're few and far between the terrible clans. And the clan system itself is pretty bad to begin with, just trying to find a solid clan is difficult, with people spamming constantly.

My clan is good for donating troops, but half of them don't even speak English and if I can only benefit from the update by relying on the majority of them doing something well over a couple weeks then I imagine I'm going to have to look long and hard for a better clan.

Plus, politics for this type of stuff gets nasty.

I really like the idea of clan wars for several reasons. The biggest being that it will be new and will add. Ore depth to the game. I also like the idea of my clan (which works well together) being able to work together on more than just donations. Additionally, I would love it if the winning clan can were to get free gems like in other games.

So I know Supercell doesnt really communicate to their forum when we ask questions. Which brings me to my question - for the forum as talking to Supercell is like talking to the hand.. How many Ice Ages will occur before the next update?

I'm hoping only one but I'd understand people guessing more...

I'm guessing you haven't heard Supercell is holding an event in Helsinki on the 27th. It's right after that.

We've been overdue for an Ice Age for quite sometime, so one would be benefical to the environment
