They love hyping their updates. I wouldn't read too far into it, too many people set their expectations too high and end up disappointed.

You don't want sneak peeks too soon before an update or it breaks the anticipation.

They will come up when the update is ready.

With all of these high expectations SC are making for themselves, they will lose a lot of players, if they do not meet these standards. Myself included; still a few weeks to go, calm down on the update speculation. Hope for a lot, expect a simple defence upgrade.

They have given many players plenty of time to catch up to end game, excluding walls and heroes. Personally, I gave up with about 20 upgrades left. The fun seems to be lost when you mix hard to obtain loot with 6+ million upgrades.
