I prefer playing as a lone wolf but as I made progress it became clear to me that I need to share troops to move forward. Are you in the same situation? Do you wake up in the middle of the night just to check on your village? That was hard to admit but I do. Don't mean to.... it just happens.
About me:
I am at Crystal I, level 93 and have maxed out giants, archers, barbarians, hog riders (LOVE them for their total destruction capabilities!), Valkyrie, minions, witch, and wall breakers. Level 4 Balloons and dragons are 3, wizards 5, healer 2, P.E.K.K.A 2. All other troops are level one because I have not felt the need to boost them, yet. I like hybrid base designs. Why? Because I want it all J ! In one month’s time or sooner if the raiding goes well, I should have every troop to the max level.
After prematurely jumping to TH 10 (what a mistake!) to gain defenses, I decided to research the forums for nuggets of advice. Wish I had done that first! Strategy and base design is my focus now in addition to forming a clan of independent yet loyal-to-the-clan members.
The type of clan members I am looking for:
1) Adults who love playing COC. I am not looking for drama, rudeness, profanity, etc.
2) Players who freely share troops as I will.
3) Someone who knows how to design banners and create a good looking thread! A BIG plus!!
4) A co-leader would be most welcome too. Sharing leadership would not be a problem for me. After all, wolves form loyal packs that hunt and work together. Yet at the same time one needs their own space too.
5) People who want to compare strategies and base designs to better our games for ourselves and the clan.
6) Yes, winning and trophies are important along with farming. Balance is critical.
7) Clan members who want to be dedicated to one clan and not hop around.
8) To be successful the clan needs people who live in different time zones so someone can always be recruiting for new members. I am in North Carolina.
I have not set requirements for clan members because simple numbers do not tell the whole story. Don't misunderstand, they help, but attitude and drive are more important to me. Some younger players show more maturity than adults.

Check out my base set up. It is not perfect according to what I see on the forums but for some reason the defenses really work. My record is +69 trophies while sleeping after losing just 9 trophies!!
I'm not in a different time zone, actually I'm in NC as well, but wanting to see if you'd be interested in me jointing your clan. I'm an adult an really enjoy the game. I just began it in late December, but have played what I think is a smart game. I'm TH7 and max out everything before moving up. I've got a way to go to max out TH7, but working my way through. I'm at level 53 and hover around 1,300 trophy because that helps me find gold and fly under theradr of higher level player from taking anything I'm trying to store up for bigger upgrades.
Id be be loyal, active, and would donate to the clan. I actually started my own clan to see if I could find similar players, but have nit had much luck. Seems like only kids join and then don't communicate / stay active. I'm looking to move away from that. You can check out my setup in clan Ekkehard. I'm Jamie in the game.
