Just use revenge. I love it when people zap me and I go check their base and they have more de than me. I cook up an army to penetrate the core and get my de back plus extra, including gold and elix.

Max your de storage and their puny zaps won't even get half of the de that's available. Then revenge and make a profit. Works for me

Just think about why are you playing this game? Because I don't think that using couples of thunder spells to steal either DE or gold/elixir is meaningful. Think twice before even creating those spells. Without gem boost, like 2 hours for just stealing some resources, is it worth? Why don't you just spend sometime to train your skills to play smarter? If anyone just like playing in this way, I would like to say don't waste your life. Work hard or study hard, this game isn't designed for you to play like this.

For supercell, is there any balancing to resources loot made by thunder spell?

I really don't mind people doing this to me. Just a very few amount of resources stolen but what I have to say towards this style is don't waste your time and more importantly don't ruin the game.

I actually have my Storages maxed (for the next 5 mins until i get free builders)

That's how I spend my time when all 5 of my builders are busy. I go zap DE.

I love it when people zap my DE, last guy used 4 level 5 spells to get over 1000 from me! I waited til he logged off and took 300k gold, 400k elixir and 2400 DE from him! Great trade off! Please continue to zapDE so I can steal 2.5x as much from you as you took from me!

Most of the time, de zappers have no meaningful loot to speak of.

The last 3 out of 4 zappers who zapped me were th9 and I'm th8. They zapped me when I had 20k and when I checked their bases all had much higher de. I use a much heavier army when I raid th9 and only go for the de in those cases, since their bases are tough. It worked every time and got some gold and elix on the side.

I have no idea why a higher th wouldn't just raid my base, but I'm almost maxed so maybe that's it. A lot of th9 and 10's farm in gold now with the new loot system and it's quite common for me to zapped by higher th's and some do actually carry a lot of de.

I dont wanna insult any players that zap, i did it myself when i was a noob and wanted to get my BK up. But let me point out a few things:
1.) Zapping isn't efficient. 3 Lightning Spells take 90 minutes to train and earn you 1,000~ DE. You can get ten times more DE with a normal army. (If you raid constantly)
2.) Zapping takes no skill. If you have a Level 5 Barb King and got all the DE by zapping, that's nothing to be proud of.
