it's the new players who attack more indiscriminately. the more experienced players who trophy push know to avoid bases that they have less than 95% chance of defeating.

I'm guilty of excessive nexting as well, occasionally. First time I got to masters league is when I made myself a rule 'only hit th9s that don't have purple wiz towers'. It would take like 30 nexts to find a base but I did it. Won 10 straight and finally got that black badge after a lot of detours.

I just don't like the fact that, the number one quality in a top player, other than gemming, is the patience to find an easy base to attack.. I have an impulsive personality and can never be like jorge yao who spends an hour for each attack.. Seems like the game rewards risk aversion and very conservative strategies.
Clash of clans has long upgrade times, long training times for good troops, it takes a long Time to get a good base, it takes a long time to up start a good clan, it takes time to find a good base to raid. The entire game is about patience as you need to wait to get anything decent in clash of clans. If you dont like being patient then you realy are playing the wrong game.

The cost of 1000 gold per 'next' when your trophy hunting is really negligible when ur army and spells much more. It's eve negligible when farming.

In real life, when leading an army, your option of whom to attack is usually limited to a few neighboring states. In poker it only makes sense to fold less than 8 out of 9 times on average.

Yet in CoC you are incentivized to pick and choose from a very very large pool. In fact, I think it's the number quality in a good CoC player. It also breeds lazy farmers who will only hit exposed, filled collectors.

I can think of 2 ways to correct this. The parameters are placeholder values:
    1. You get 3 times the trophies if you hit the first target, 2 times the trophies for anything in the first five.
    2. The cost of 'next' should be a function of how many times you've hit that button in a given day. For example, first 10 can be free, then once increase for every 10 nexts. If you spend half hour hitting nexts before u attack, u should really pay up some gems.
Seriously? Do you know how hard it is to find a base with filled collectors or a base with at least 100k of each resource?

My opinion is that the magnifying glass that is searching our bases is being bribed by supercell.

This would make farming IMPOSSIBLE. A bit of a farmer has a total of 250 nexts a day AT LEAST. Even if you find loot after 20 times next (which is really fast), you want to raid like 25 times a day if possible... Try to imagine loosing 200 gems on that, I'd rather buy my recourses with gems then... Stupid idea no offence
