Discouraging excessive use of the Next button

One thing I don't like about the game is that best players must be very patient to pick an easy target or one with a lot of resources. You essentially have unlimited options to pick and choose your target.

The cost of 1000 gold per 'next' when your trophy hunting is really negligible when ur army and spells much more. It's eve negligible when farming.

In real life, when leading an army, your option of whom to attack is usually limited to a few neighboring states. In poker it only makes sense to fold less than 8 out of 9 times on average.

Yet in CoC you are incentivized to pick and choose from a very very large pool. In fact, I think it's the number quality in a good CoC player. It also breeds lazy farmers who will only hit exposed, filled collectors.

I can think of 2 ways to correct this. The parameters are placeholder values:
    1. You get 3 times the trophies if you hit the first target, 2 times the trophies for anything in the first five.
    2. The cost of 'next' should be a function of how many times you've hit that button in a given day. For example, first 10 can be free, then once increase for every 10 nexts. If you spend half hour hitting nexts before u attack, u should really pay up some gems.

So... You want less people playing? And turn the game into a maybe tomorrow app?

    Bored

I have grown incredibly tired of clash because of the next button.
i have been playing this game for roughly 10 months now, and I remember those days when you
could do a quick little raid whenever you a had a bit of free time.
Now it takes a solid 5-10 minutes to find a raid, and it just isn't convenient

What do you look for in those 5-10 minutes? Will you be less picky if the first few bases offer more incentives?

    Mods!!
Please move this thread back to 'general' . Nobody reads the ideas section. The suggestion at the end is really a small part of the post and very open to further discussion..

If I just posted 'loot sucks! Fix it supercell!' The thread gets to stay in general. But if I posted 'this aspect could be better, here is why, here's one possible way to fix it' the thread gets moved and nobody reads it.

When you get to around th 8 to 10 you can only realy raid someone with a th the same lvl, 1 higher or 1 lower otherwise you get no loot or an imposible raid. If your somewhere around gold league like most players are you find players ranging from th 4 to 10 so it takes time to find someone you can raid then even longer to find someone who hasnt spent all there loot to avoid being raided. This is why people need to press the next button many times when looking for a raid. Limiting the number of times someone can press next would mean people would often be forced to raid someone much lower than them for next to no loot or try there luck against a maxed base with only lvl 5 troops. All your solution would result in is people finding it impossible to get enough loot to upgrade there base effectively halting people when they reach th 8 and most people would then just quit resulting in supercell losing money.

You got a valid point, but I don't think the first 10 should be free...maybe just reduced. Or maybe just the first 1-3 choices

U never find another th8 or 7 in the first 10 bases?? Maybe ur in the wrong league??

It's more about rewarding attacks on the first few cards dealt to you (such as more trophies). Personally I don't see why an increase cost of 'next' if u hit it 30 times in a row is so bad... In real life, if u send out scouts to check out 30 bases, u would have to feed ur army while u wait.. Right now there's essentially no cost to hitting the next btn..
