    If you are maxed, it is very likely that you don't need to save anything, so you don't care about resources, so you can put townhall inside to enjoy the defense lost. For average player, losing 2 million over night is horrible. Not everyone can farm 2 million in one hour. For lots of players, that might be one day's work.

    This is a valid point, trophies for gold. With the new loot rules this has become slightly less attractive in certain ranges because of OP's point. Is it worth to lose 500k or more overnight just to be able to not be bother a 50% here and there?



    This is probably the best argument at the least loot loss. Though this only applies to late stage TH9 & TH10.

    All in all I see what your saying Howie, but it doesn't really adress the OP's situation, since you're in an very different place from the majority of TH9 and TH10.

    I for one, would push a lot more if there were a loot bonus for successful defenses. The loss of resources is a big reason i rarely push. Great points made!

    Must be bad luck but both times I've been attacked with my TH free and clear in the corner, it was 100% ignored.

    sometimes if your TH is in the corner the raider needs to zoom and pan to see it, making it harder to notice and find.

    No, only a relatively few number of people value trophies. The rest value resources more. They don't care how many trophies they have, they care about the number of trophies that enables them to find the most loot rich and easily accessible bases. For some folks that number is 0 trophies.

    The game should be structured so that the best way to obtain loot is to obtain ever higher numbers of trophies. If they did that, people would care about defense and would be delighted when they win a defense which gains them more trophies.

    99.9% of farmers in Gold dont give a damn about trophies.

    Only in Crystal 2 and above, trophies become meaningful.

    My Suggestions:

    1.) Make the townhall a storage building. What I'm saying it as you upgrade through the levels it stores more gold and elixir until it equals a combined fully maxed gold/elixir/dark elixir storage building. This will make players more likely to protect it. Plus keep all the currently associated benefits.

    2.) Make a gold/elixir bonus for defending wins equal to your league. This added with the top suggestion will go a long way to helping people want to defend.

    3.) Add a short defense shield like 3 hours long for a successful defense.
