My suggestion is to add something what I would like to call Clan Wars. At first glance, you are probably thinking, will not the lower level players get left out and feel useless? Or why add Clan Wars when it seems like it would clearly be geared just to the competitive playerbase? Or will casual gamers even feel like they have a chance against the upper tier higher levels?
So what exactly is Clan Wars? In my vision I believe that this will involve two different clans challenging each other to see who is the better clan. But here is the twist; one clan must first summit a request to another clan to initiate a Clan War. Only then, after the challenged clan accepts, can Clan Wars begin. Once Clan Wars is initiated, every single player on one clan can attack anyone of their choosing on the other clan. The ultimate goal would be to see which clan could secure the most amount of trophies before the duration of the Clan War expires (possibly one or two days or longer). (Instead of a time limit, this could also be a trophy count limit.)
Now, what is to stop a level sixty from attacking a level twenty? I believe the answer to this question would be to significantly reduce the amount of trophies the higher level would gain from winning the battle (If not zero). Also, every time that an higher level attacker activates a lower level defender's shield, it prevents a lower level on the attacker's clan from attacking the same defender and gaining even more trophies. Therefore, this significantly reduces the incentive of the higher level to "pick on" the lower level.
Why would Supercell want to support this? I believe that it not only increases the replay value of the game and makes the game more in-depth but also that it would give the playerbase more incentive to purchase shields with gems.
I just felt like putting this out here to see how the community reacts. If you guys like this suggestion, please let me know so that I may add more details!
