Will there be some type of universal chat translator? It's bad enough trying to remember which Arabic, oriental, Thai, or other non-western language player is a good friend or a mooch, now we can chat with them? Sorry, my Cantonese and Hindi are a touch rusty (or non-existent)!

Meep! First post. Been playing since start of January, got to level 32, but decided to start a new fresh farm just yesterday. Awesome timing I know! So now I am level 16 and worried that by the time I get to level 29 again, all the good neighbourhoods will be filled! Silly, right? I don't use FB and am on Android, so I find hard to find good neighbours anyway. I just scour the DD to find people I can help with boats and trees. Would be so much easier and more fun to be in a neighbourhood. Guess I'll have to sit and hope to find a good one when I am 29 again!
(On a sidenote, thanks for all the wonderful tips on this forum. Helped me out loads as a relatively new player!)
I wonder if we'll be able to use the neighborhood feature at all without Facebook? Does this neighborhood feature do away with the need for GC/Google +/Facebook, or does it sit on top of those?

I think those options are independent, not replaced.
It looks like you can still use G+ & FB to have Friends and Neighbors as normal. This is a new option to allow you to create a specific sub-set of your friends. There's a new tab for your neighborhood to help you distinguish them from your other friends.

Yes, but how to find those close friends? If, say, I wanted to invite you to be in my neighborhood...wouldn't I have to add you through GC or Facebook just to find you?
