Now now, lets all hug and be happy.
I just want to say, as an elder of this clan, no one really talks... the problem GL, as I see it, is that we compose ~70% of people who go on every couple of hours. These people will request, say something for 10 minutes, then return to inactive-ness.
The bigger problem is you're not doing anything about it. I mean, it's cool that you have other stuff to do for most of the day, but you've never really taken any steps in trying to kick out the quiet people in the clan. You've sent messages, which is about it. Do something...
Also, there are currently 9 people who are lower than our req. level. 3 are people we know, the other 6... quite frankly, I have no idea why you have them there.
I'm also concerned with our feeders. One of our feeders, when I last visited a month ago had chat a couple days old. I really don't know why you started them when
a) our main clan isn't going so well, and
b) the requirement for our main clan is 60+. We have what, 2,3, feeders? Do we really need that many?
Meh, thanks for reading I guess. Our chat's really a big problem.

P.S.
Messages. Do tell our co-leaders to make somewhat more constructive, yeah?
The thing is a new(ish) clan takes time to gel well, and until that point it can be chaotic with people coming or going or dead...
i have been lucky enough to be part of the start up of castingshadows.. Fette has done an enormously awesome task there, working amazingly hard, constantly networking to get the clan up and running, and at times the revolving door with people coming and then going because it wasn't quite the right place for them did kind of make your head spin!
your elders need to be completely on board with your vision for the clan, you need to decide what sort of players you want and make your requirements fit that vision. Elders need to be trusted people that only accept the kind of players you want... Only accept people that are whatever level you want or whatever your requirements are, and if you want an active, chatty clan, you have to be hard and boot out the people that don't chat..
it takes a little while to get together 50 people who get on well, chat, donate, whatever...but your elders and co-leaders have to be part of that. If they aren't doing their job properly, you have to tell them that. Everyone has different skills, so maybe you need a few hardass team members who will kick the wrong people and a couple who are chatty and encourage people to chat and feel welcome, but all in all it has to be a team, to pull together for the good of the clan.
if you have the right team, you will get the clan that you want. And if you don't feel you can leave for a week without things falling apart then either you don't have the right team, or things are just still too new.. Having seen it from pretty much the outset, starting a clan is hard, you just need to persevere. Sincerely, good luck George.
