So basically this thread is a bunch of crybaby high level players who are mad at Supercell because their ♥♥♥♥♥ing ways are being exposed and fixed.

How exactly can you claim your clan is 'fluffy bunny' free? How on earth would you know?
Sure it is admirable to have it as an aim or an ideal, but I don't see how you could enforce it or even check up on it. Why should we even believe you with your claims to 'teamwork' being ethical and fair, who's to say you aren't trying to pressurise other clans into making a change you have no intention of making?
The top players lost most of the communities trust and respect some time ago, it will take a lot more than simply claiming to stop something (that you do not even acknowledge as being wrong) before most start to give you the credit your not inconsiderable achievements deserve.
I'm fairly sure that most people involved in this discussion, are beginning to come the conclusion that fixing this within the current system is close to impossible. Every suggestion made to alter cup gain, obtaining shields, damage percentages, auto-logout time is just putting a band-aid on an broken leg. Say of Thorzain what you will, be at least he's very clear on that point. This system is beyond saving.
The only, and I mean the ONLY way to solve this problem is creating a seperate cupsystem in some form (clan wars). This way SC can leave the current system intact so any changes won't reverberate down to the lower cup levels, and allows for a new cup formula based on a temporary amount of cups gained within a war. Make a ranking based on amount of wars won and average cup gained per war and you're done. This solves: low cup gain/high cup loss and cheap shielding, as not being able to attack will be detrimental to your clanwar points.
SC knows this, but clanwars are supposedly not being worked on. Which is utter nonsense of course. They are working on it or at least thinking about it. but it takes an insane amount of work and thought. Before you mistake me as an advocate of clan wars: I could care less. But I do know that that it was it takes to solve the problems at the top.

Always wanted gazza to get to the top. A Phenomenal player who I always keep an eye On. He's 450 ahead of the next player on the local (gb) leaderboards. Impressive stuff.
