It's a give and take, the converse is that with random attacks that you can't control the timing of, the goblins could also steal your resources, so it's not necessarily a net gain of resources into the game. Even if the goblins couldn't get at your resources, if you have your TH in the open like many players do, the goblins would kill the TH, gain a star, and you wouldn't have the "revenge" option available against them, so to speak, since the resources only reset if you actually defend against the attack.

Either way, it's just a way of implementing random goblin attacks into the game. If there was no potential reward for being attacked by them, it would just plain annoy people. The fact that it can potentially be a bonus if you succeed and a reward if you fail is what makes it interesting (though such attacks would simply randomly happen, so you wouldn't "choose" to be attacked). As you sort of mentioned, they could just plain reward resources, but that seems kind of lame in the context of the game; being able to attack the goblin village that attacked you feels like a "revenge" attack against them.

They aren't going to add anything to the game that you can do while troops are building. I also don't see much point. Defeating the levels would be trivial just like with the single player offensive campaign. Simply watch a youtube video, rearrange your base, and boom free resources.

If they were going to go this route, it'd make a lot more sense for them to just award a bonus for a successful defense. However, I don't believe they should do that either.

i see your point, however, this is like the normal campaign: resources won't be resetted once you've beaten the level.

and for the mini-game thing: it's just another campaign, so i'm not sure if they would "classifie" it as a minigame , but yeah could be ruled out.

ps: yes first time dahimi replied on one of my threads

The game doesn't need random computer generated attacks. Your base gets attacked by real players instead.

    Super good idea

This is an amazing idea. Just make sure that goblins dont steal very much loot. Otherwise this would really suck. Maybe at the beginig of the level, it shows what troops are going to be deployed just like you can view bases before attackibng

I think he means you go to a menu and then you choose when they attack. I don think he meant it to be random. Maybe he meant more like a simulator. Just to see how your base needs to be improved. Like if the goblions used air troops and you get flattened, you know to upgrade air defenses and things like that. To improve your base

    thanks nitemare !

as stated in my thread, gobs can only steal 50% of what a player can steak (with no loot penalty of course )
