Is it just me, or is anyone else finding it VERY difficult to find needed items for fulfilling cargo quotas? I have been searching for buttered popcorn, for example, via newspaper for 2 hours…with not one to be found. Before the latest update I didn't come up empty handed; I may not have found all that I needed, but I at least found some. Just wondering if its just me?
Yeah, it's pretty tough finding good things to buy now. My theory is that now that it is so much easier to help boat orders, and there is an achievement for it, everyone is using their extra goods to do that instead of selling them. It is a bummer though.

If you are searching newspaper to fill orders, especially for the less common items, you are playing it wrong...

I think it just depends on what your goal is. Some people try to earn as much cash as possible to decorate the farm really fancy, or buy a new machine. In that case, make your own stuff and sell it instead of buying. If you want to level up as quickly as possible, filling boat and truck orders as fast as you can, by whatever means (like buying from the newspaper) works best. You won't be super profitable, but that's ok. The endgame is just to have fun...so play it however you want to! That's my opinion at least. And I am on level 56 and it is working just fine for me.

I totally agree .
Throughout the game I've had different goals, early on it was to make coin to purchase the next machine, now I've got more coin, over 200k, as there is nothing much to buy (my farm is fairly cluttered now) so I care less about selling at a high price or selling in my shop. Now I am trying to get leaderboard pnts helping others fill their boat. However I try to put less common things for sale as I get tired of seeing the same stuff in the newspaper (But realize that newbies only have a ltd variety of things to sell, so just deal with it.)
I do still use the newspaper to get people in to my farm to help my boat but see that the boat leader board allows one to get into any farm w/o the newspaper, so this has sort of changed the game a bit.
