    Winter Olympics at Judes Retreat

My guys wanted to wish all the athletes at Sochi good luck. Well in fact, they all wanted to go and compete. So badly did they want to be there, that they were practising the opening ceremony's athletes parade. Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin got up so early to get a good seat that they fell asleep and missed the parade altogether, waking when it was over.

Mr Snow the elder, decided he could be the chef de mission. While Mr Snow the young, bagged being flag bearer because he felt that with his theatrical experience he would bring flair to the position. It certainly helps his figure skating.

His brother Mr Snow the Third elected to be the sound man to Fred's camera man role. All that fishing should come in handy.

Aunt Hilda was looking forward to competing in the cross country skiing. Her iron woman training had definitely toned her glutes. Fritz even volunteered to go as her physio.

Nephew Fred had been practising his all winter on the sled and is confident that he could master the luge in no time flat.

Fred the Goatherder has been trying to get the hang of bobsledding So far not so good.

Fisherman Fred, the bachelor, and Fred the stableboy have been perfecting their down hill racing. They can go surprisingly fast considering the farm is virtually flat. Apart from the slope in the SE corner of the farm. They are both highly competitive and pay no mind to the fact that their run ends them up in the brambles as the slope ends at the farm boundary.

So we all wish the other athletes a great games and may the best gnome win.

And finally we all hope that the Jamaican bobsled crew find their luggage.

From Jude and the gang, prepping for the Winter Olympics 2014.

Oh Jude Jude Jude, your talent is just endless. Fisherman Fred & Fred the stable boy have had me in stitches

Although I'm a little annoyed with SC ! Your slope in the SE corner of the farm seem a lot steeper than mine. I was thinking, when the snow has all disappeared I can hopefully plant some( new ?) wild flowers & let my goats roam free on the slope.
But your does defiantly look a steeper incline !!

Or maybe it's were you've stashed all those lovely shinny , well deserved diamonds you've just come by

Level 144....Reputation level 39.....141/144 Achievements .. Masteries no idea ...

Poor Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin.....they missed a great parade practice. Maybe they can stay awake next time.

Thank you for again sharing the wonderful events that take place at your farm! I will be rooting for Gold Medals for our Freds, and Aunt Hilda, too!

And congrats on getting Dean Martin...I think Jerry Lewis is happier with his new sidekick!

Brilliant, Jude! I see your Waitangi Day holiday was well spent! I truly envy your talent.

BTW, loved the movie, "Cool Runnings". Go Jamaica!
