This sort of wild speculation is why the stock market has many ups and downs. I will just be on the sidelines sitting and waiting.

So I get up, my 2 month old crying hungry, 12 and 2 yr old playing on the tablet. The guy smiled and said his son is out of school like they all are and was looking for extra money. So was asking to scrape sidewalks and driveways. 5$/10$. I listened and would glAnce at the kid. He would give me this look. I felt really like something was going on. So I said not right now And gave a smile. He said thanks at least I listened. THis whole time this guy was acting very nervous and at times he sounded like his voice was shakey and slurred.
I being an overprotective mommy, called the police to at least let them now. I have nothing against the money just the guy and how the kid was acting.
So I sat back down and start playing again and feeding baby lol. I'm that good! One hand game the other bottle.
Anyway, I hear a guy talking really loud and look. I see a different guy get I the side, a different guy get in front, the kid in the back and this other guy drives. This was about 10 min ago. I'm fighting this urge to call them back and tell them. At least I got the plate number and make/model of car. I'm soo worried for his kid!
WHAT? A kid looking scare and two nervous men with him and they drove off while you played hay day? WHAT?

If you'd have asked me this question 6 months ago my answer would have been yes, great , fantastic .
But 6 months ago my 11yr old & 13 yrs old didn't play HD.... Now they both play on their iPads .
For me personally , it will be a sad day if HD incorporate a chat room as this would mean I would no longer be able to let my two children play .
Unless there was an option to disable the "chat room" . At present neither of my children have access to the internet, they can't download games without me inputting a password & they also can't buy in app purchases without inputting a password .
Quite ironically I've been on a course today which covered CSE ( child sexual exploitation) which was a very big eye opener for me.
I feel that once you incorporate a chat room ,HD no longer becomes a game for young children.
Yes you will probably get your 1 million likes on FB , but I wonder how many parents & grandparents would agree to a chat room.
Agree with you Helen. I actually do not have any trouble getting in touch with people when I need to but most of my friends and neighbours are on the forum and PMs work well for me.
I do not have anything to do with Facebook and will not be having anything to do with it.

OTOH, in-game chat has been a mixed blessing in other games I've played. People can be jerks. Am I going to get nastygrams now from people who are upset that I bought their duct tape without filling their soy sauce crates? Is the "no raiders" vs. "I'll buy what I want" debate going to move from the forum to the game?
I am with you on this one. I think I want it about 20% and don't want it about 80%. Besides nastygrams, there could be dirty talk, harassment, and there's probably people out there that you wouldn't want your kids talking to either.

Y'all are bumming me out. I hadn't thought of all the negative things. I was just excited at the thought of being able to tell someone how much I appreciated their help or that I really liked a feature on their farm. AND I was really excited about the thought of being able to nicely ask some neighbors/ followers if they were aware that they could skip a boat. The ones who flag 3 crates and then never fill a thing kinda confound me. But, after reading all the negatives I'm not so excited about the chat anymore. I like the idea of it being able to be turned on and off and in game pm's still though. I'm sure SC will consider all this. They seem to work hard at making this game appeal to such a wide audience.

I played one game where there was a chat of sorts, but you had to pick from a menu what you wanted to say. Were SuperCell to implement such a system, I imagine you could pick "Thank you for helping my boat!" but not "Go jump in a lake!". Safe, but not all that satisfying, either.

I wish SC would post the sneak peak and voting etc on their own forum instead of on Facebook. It's not fair to the Facebook-resisters, and it makes it seem like they value their Facebook members more than all the rest of their players. I suppose they get a kickback from Facebook, which is more money in SC pockets...

I'm not in favor of a live chat either. Pms with an inbox you could ignore if you so choose, ok. But live chat should only be implemented if there is a total opt out (and lock out for parents/guardians) function available.

Someone earlier mentioned trouble on the Coc side due to a similar situation. Could someone explain for us "make hay, not war" types? Thanks!

Posting it here would be preaching to the choir. Facebook is for preaching to the heathens. ;-) I don't think any kickback is required. Facebook is free advertising...to people who aren't already playing the game.

They do have a place were they post the sneak peeks. It's under the sub forum of news. I think they post it to FB first then post it under the news sub forum later for those who don't use FB.
