I started playing Clash of Clans around April 2013. And I got a lot of loot like you do when you are Town Hall 1-7. And i thought it was a really good game. And I still think so, but lately loot has gone bad.
2 days ago I got 1 million gold. After that I used 3 hours just to don't lose gold by searching. I finally made 2,5 mill gold by the end of the day, after playing for 6 hours. And thats really bad loot per hour if you use the BAM-strategy(Barbs, Archers, Minions).
When I was TH8(in May and June) I was low lvl farming(using 1/4 on arvhers and 3/4 on goblins taking loot and no trophies), and I know it's not possible anymore since no one stays Down at 150 trophies upgrading collectors and stuff. But at that time I was making like 1,2 mill gold per hour at least, usually 1,6 million gold per hour.
After I went up one TH-lvl the loot got really bad Down there so I moved up to 1400 trophies and started using the Giant healer strategy. And it worked out well, but not great. So it didn't take me ong to realize that the BAM-strategy was the best strategy to use. And then I had to move up in trophies to 1650 and the loot was acceptable. Around 700-800k gold per hour, but still a lot less than in TH8.
But then the loot penalty came and I started getting bad loot. SO I moved up to crystal where I knew Farming should be good since noobs at that time weren't able to get that far at the time. And it also turned out to be fantastic. I was once again earning over 1 million gold per hour. This period was between September to December I think.
But in late December noobs started going for Crystal and the loot was like search by using 50k and earn 150 k. So i looked it up on YouTube saw one of Chief Pat's videos and decided to og Down in trophies since he was around 1400 getting a lot of loot and I didn't make anything up in Crystal.
When I got Down I started making 750-850k gold per hour. Which is not bad. But when you think of the Upgrades it gets too small.I'm glad I went Down in trophies, 2 weeks later I had a lot of friends up there losing Resources when they attacked because no one had more than 100k gold. And i tried it out to see if they were right and the were. no one I saw had more than 50k gold.
I went Down to between 1500-1650 and loot wasn't that good. I was making almost 600k gold per hour. And I'm still at that range and I don't know what to do. SO I thought of a solution, remove the loot penalty. Then I would hav got around 1 million gold per hour again(maybe).
I am trying out different trophie ranges from 1400 up to 1850. But anyway the loot won't get above 800k per hour. So please
REMOVE THE LOOT PENALTY. YOU CAN'T MAKE NEW DEFENCES AND BUILDINGS COSTING 8 MILLION GOLD WHEN WE HAVE TO SPEND 18 HOURS JUST TO GET ENOUGH GOLD. AND MAYBE EVEN MORE THAN THAT! YOU CAN'Y MAKE MORE EXPENCIVE BUILDINGS WHEN THE LOOT IS GETTING WORSE!
Before the loot penalty I was TH7 and was making a lot of gold, don't losing too much and I thought it was great. And now TH9 get just A MAX OF 700K PER HOUR, while TH10 get just 500k per hour. Only by using GoWiPe in masters League and above you get acceptable loot in TH10. but you have to wait 2 hours just by making the troops.
SO REMOVE THE LOOT PENALTY. IT'S NOT GREAT FOR TH7 AND BELOW SINCE THEY WILL GET ATTACKED AND LOSE THEIR RESOURCES ANYWAY. THE ONLY THING IT DOES, IS THAT IT MAKES THE DAY FOR th9 AND 10 HARDER .
