What continues to boggle my mind with these "Supercell is ♥♥♥♥♥ing us" posts is that it seems like people can't see the other side of the coin. They think they can but without really being inside office, in the meetings, being a part of the decision making process, we as players, can't really understand. I don't know what to think about the gem boxs and frankly without more information I can't make an informed decision. What I do know is that complaining doesn't make my game play anymore enjoyable. So I choose to accept the game as it is and to find enjoyment where I can.

i can care less. i can enjoy it with or without the complaining. the complaining is only on the forums. the forums are unimportant. the game is what matters and i never see any complaining on the game. at least not in my clan. so complain away everyone! either way, im neutral. supercell is money hungry but also everyone complains a lot. its a double edged sword!

I don't believe they could have done this on purpose really. It's not like these forums are known for people raging for nothing. Oh and the increase gem rewards for clearing obstacles seems to work fine, I wonder why they didn't bug this one too so that they could remove all obstacles altogether. You missed an opportunity right there Supercell.

It's infortunate that the gem box isn't working, but as with any release, sometimes there are unexpected bugs when the update goes live (I saw a few thread with people not receiving the gems). I'd rather have this new feature bug than the new heroes abilities and I'm not even TH7 yet.

The biggest question I have for people who think SC is c h e a ting us. Why would they announce a gem box in the first place if they were just going to remove it?

Really, which part of the game compels us to buy gems?

You want to know what really compels us to spend real money on games? When you have to buy spend real money to unlock level of defense/troops. Yes that is what some other games did. Here, you can still get to the same level as those high ranking players through effort.

I'm not defending the people that are complaining, cause I'm sure SC has legitimate reasons for what they are doing, but I hate it when people dumb on players that play for free. Yes, if it wasn't for players that pay for gems this game would not exist. But this game would also not exist without players that play for free. Why? Because the community would be significantly smaller.

So don't act like SC is allowing players to play for free out of the kindness of their heart. SC is a business and as a business all they care about is profits.

Why would SC even announce a gem box anyway then?

The developers at Supercell are more than willing to make the game fun for its customers.

It's the corporate types that want to squeeze the last bit of juice from its customers.
