Well I don't really gem I've only spent $20 and I don't want to think about the time
I'd need to spend gaining the loot and upgrading for th 9, I have calculated a little
that a BK being upgraded without using gems would use about 235.5 days out of 365 days in
a year, now thats not including spending time getting the D.E. and don't get me started on the
archer queen.
So yeah if I don't gem and I get to th 10 probably maxed out it would consume quite some
years out of my life.
Clashing
Dont forget that the trees that give more gems give none more often now... my last 4 gave me ntn... so much for more gems

Level 103, TH9, 25/250 legos, 225/250 skull walls, BK lvl 10, AQ lvl 10
Boom Beach:
Level 44, Head Quarter level 17
Old trees still give the same amount only trees spawned after the update give gems.
All I can say is, I am not that pleased with the way the update is and the way our
experience is without paying for gems, which many are sponsored I understand that,
but what about the other 68% (guess) of players...

Actually, People do feel urged or forced to buy gems considering the upgrades take days to complete after TH8, so yeah, you could get a bit unpatient. I've managed to wait out the 6 - 12 day upgrades on some off my troops and buildings with out buying gems, but thats just me, but some others might not think the same way I do.And how exactly are you being forced to purchase gems?
Plenty of people have advanced in this game without feeling the urge or need to buy gems.
If you feel as though you are being "forced" then maybe you should practice some self control.
For me is basically the same, I hold back spending money
because watching youtubers get about $200 sponsored everyday
doesn't look like much done too their base, $3000 will get all your lvl 11
walls done, how insane.
