Would you still be applying for the job, knowing the things you know now?
I mean, with people seeing you as representative of what they think the "big evil Supercell Company" trying to suck every penny out of people?

Knowing what I know now... how well we treat our employees, how player first focused we truly are, how we don't focus at all on how to "monetize" and simply want to build a great game, and how every decision is made so painstakingly with tons of open debate and discussion... yes. In a heartbeat! I love it here.

There will always be people with a negative viewpoint on SC and what we do/how we do it, but that's normal. I don't take any of it personally, just do the best I can to communicate our goals with as much transparency and clarity as possible. It's not always the easiest task, but it's a rewarding one because I feel that this company truly values players, and I feel truly empowered to do fun things for you guys and speak up when I feel like we're doing something that isn't to the benefit of the Community.

Just to be clear: I didn't mean to sound negative with "knowing what you know now".
I was referring to the ♥♥♥♥ the SC-team has to deal with every day, going from complaints to just plain insults.

I do love it when some spotty student starts spouting on about how it takes one line of code to add a new feature. Just because you've built a cheapo website or done a bit of java means you know the sum total of knack all about application development. Perhaps when you get a real job you'll gain a little more perspective.


And as for moaning because there's no fix yet, well perhaps the fix is done but SC adhere to a release strategy that means they don't just chuck code out there without retesting and scheduling.
Once again, an understanding of corporate risk may help. Oh no, that cant be right can it, it's not like they are a multi million dollar company is it ffs.


Finally, for all those complaining about being forced to buy gems. The only person forcing you to buy them is yourself, because you clearly can't play the game properly.
There is nothing you HAVE to buy gems for.

Steve, thanks for your input, I think all reasonable people realized this is just the result of an unexpected bug.

Two questions:
1. Anything you can share on an ETA for it being fixed?
2. I was lucky and had one spawn in my base and have kept it, will it be permanently bugged to give 0 gems or should I wait for the fix to be released before I harvest it?

People on forums tend to be masters of any profession and just about the best there can be in that profession or at least by common sense they can do better job then people who have spent major part of their life learning something. Silly people that spend decades of learning when the average forum user can clearly see the best way to do things. In the end it boils down to that I could he a olympiclevel athlete, develop a record selling game, write the next hit song and sing it myself all leading me to have more money then anyone, but I just choose not to do it. Since todays is burger dinner I will be happier doing the burgers.

I have been collecting trees and stuff right for a year now and since the last update the gems reward has not increased.
I still get gems after 2 or 3 removals and they also vary from 1 to 3 gems.
So looks if SC is trying to make us believe they care.
This perfectly fits in the situation where the gem-box suddenly causes crashes.
You cannot convince me that your r&d department of the money-making machine called SC, did not test this gem-box feature while announcing it's in the last update. Looks like a trick to me to keep the audience patient.
