Actually GBarch stands for giants and barch, not gobs. If I remember correctly, Yaw said that he used 1 barracks giants, 1 barrack barbs, 1 barrack archers and 1 barrack wbs + archers

Hey Yaw, a question for you: I have about 50 lvl 9 walls, and all defenses maxed (except for the archer towers, but I'd rather get 30 more walls than pay 5 mil per archer tower now)... and all builders idle, except for 1-2 who sometimes do heroes. All troops are maxed (except valks who are just lvl2, but I cannot justify upgrading them further). I would like to go to TH10 for infernos (for DE protection) and more important for freeze (in clan wars I get paired with mostly TH10s with infernos, and it's really difficult to get more than 1 star without freeze).

What would you advise? Stay on TH9 a bit longer for walls (I do mostly 2-3 walls per day now, the schedule is a bit busy), or go to TH10 and worry about walls later? (I know gold is harder to come by at TH10, but it's becoming boring doing nothing but walls)

3 Golden rules of TH upgrading.

1. You have no gold dump
2. You have idle builders
3. You are bored

So you should go up if your being bored to death mate.

Hi yaw, i just want to ask whether the DE in th 10 is better than th 9. You said that you go to th 10 bcause you start focusing on DE.
Anyway, you are progressing great. 2 maxed WT, 1 zap wall, level 7 air defense, and higher level heroes.

then upgrade your Archer tower and head to TH10
infernos will protect your loot and stars way better than walls.

My plans to th10 run smoothly, I've been trying to farm in master for few days and getting 1.5-3K DE/raid which is awesome...

I think I will drop to somewhere on crystal first to farm elixir to max drills, drag lv.4 and freeze spells
then stay on master to farm heroes

OP you're amazing, you make me feel like I suck. I am a mid ish TH 9, pushing my way up to Master to farm gold and elixir, as they are normally a max base and have their storages outside. Do you think this is a good idea, or should I use the traditional method of Barch/BAM at lower league?

For finding bases with storages are close to the outside, you must at least go up to M2. You can't find it at M3.

I queue all loon on normal rax and all minion on dark rax
I donate minions for clan, so I usually end up 20-28 loon and 50-70 minions
spell is 1 lighting (for cc and last %), 2-3 rage and 1-2 heal

I'm not using dragon because mine is just lv.2 ... lol...

you should farm on gold2-c1 where there is more TH8, because rolling TH8 is the joy of TH9.
rich th8 guys won't exist on C2 and up.

nope, I've been M3 and M2, there is very less base with storage outside...
I think they should be on 3000+
