A TH7/TH8/TH9 Premie Journey ...

Hey sharonysm, I'm upgrading my town hall(yay) my question is, which troop i should upgrade first. I also use BARCH or BAM like you. What would you recommend? I'm also open to any opinions from other forumers

If you don't farm, don't rush. Rushing us only useful if you will rely heavily on attacking to compensate for your comparatively weaker base.

I only get resources through raiding. My collectors are mostly still lv5, 6. I get all my loot from raiding. Would you still advice not rushing?

I upgraded Barb first then Archers on TH9,
I find barb upgrade is great bump, especially because BK will add few barb and buff them with mini rage
archers upgrade gives smaller bumps but they looks much cooler and you will feel much more confident raiding with them... lol...

but the best troops upgrade on TH9 is Giants lv.6, you will be able to destroy most TH8 and early TH9 with them. At least you can get their DE easily unless it's heavily protected by high levels xbows or telsas.

Thanks for the reply, how should i implement giants in my BARCH or BAM? Or i should try new strategy? Thanks for help. The order should Giants->Barbs->Archers?

From reading guides I thought maxing before upgrading TH was the way to go and that's what I did at TH 5. I got TH 6 yesterday and after reading this thread I am thinkng of rushing my town hall after a couple of upgrades. Awesome thread

I don't farm because my clan regulary participates in clan wars, would you still advice rushing?

there is no harm to rush TH6 to TH7
I skip TH6 entirely, I just upgrade my Gold Storage as soon my TH6 complete so I can pay the TH7 upgrade.

Hey Sharonsym, I'm thinking to go to TH 8. 1 splash defense left wizard tower... thinking to get that at TH 8. My farming troops are maxed so yeah....Walls....haha not so much...

I have following your thread since you started it. And I have maxed defenses at th7, before I went to th8 two months ago with both my accounts.

At th8, one of accounts started way behind on walls, as I couldn't farm while starting our feeder clan.

I maxed teslas, air, mortars, and wiz towers on both accounts. And while I did some archers and cannons, they are behind.

So, on my account with 78 skulls(went up from 24 in 3 days of really good wall farming), I hit the upgrade button last night. i did all the pink lab upgrades except pekkas and only upgrade minions to three of the dark troops.

I was planning to hit the upgrade buttons at the same time, but I decided to experiment. I decided to wait and farm my walls, max my cannons and archers, and take my hogs to 4 (currently going to 3).

I decided to see which does better in the long run. It is not entirely fair as I on my iPad, which I play less than on my phone. But that was also part of my calculation. If I can't be as hardcore farming on my iPad account, then I should max what I can first.

Of course, since I am storage raiding 9 times out of 10, if not 19 out of 20, I think I will regret this move a little. However, high level hogs are great storage raiders......so we shall see.


Anyway, thanks for an entertaining read for the last few months.

Sharonsym, I have 190 spots (farming for 195 and 200) and how many archers, barbs, and minions should I use for BAM? Is 20 minions okay?

No problem, I spent some time as I only saw this thread when I was halfway through maxing. Upgrading my TH now, I've done all lab upgrades, maxed army camps, maxed walls and maxed mortars. Not gonna focus on point defenses. I never really cared much about defenses as I focus much more on attack but since I alwalys read that maxing out was best I've upgraded cannons and archer towers to lv6. How do you suggest I farm at TH7? I have no idea how to farm or how to attack using BARCH as I've never farmed till now.
