Why DO we want clan wars so much?

Clans are usually created by a group of friends n extended to strangers who come from diff countries n personality. Friends will be the core of the clan which will seldom spilt ways but for the strangers to stay we would need a common goal which I believe clan war to be the answer. More participation as a group rather than individual battle which don't matter to anyone.

IMO the game needs something new...a game changer... Clan wars would potentially do that if done right... Another thing that would do that is Masterminds Quests...

Many of us including myself have been playing this game for over a year now and are looking for something different besides new TH, new troop, or new building...

This is exactly what clan wars or quests could potentially do...bring a spark back into the community and into the game

As for some of the negative opinions about Clan Wars in this thread, I disagree. Clan Wars would bring a wealth of benefits for the game, namely in clan participation and unity. The social side to the game can GREATLY be improved from what it currently is, and in my opinion, this part of the game is why so many people stay and play long term. Clan Wars is one of the more significant ideas that could improve the social game if it is done right and correctly, which I definitely think it can.

I think a lot depends on how the concept is done. If it will be a way for the rich to get richer like in someother similar games then I have no use for clan wars. For example if there would a training competition, which you have zero chance to do well unless you use gems and the reward would be something that clearly gives you an edge in the game I rather leave clan wars out.

the bigger the prize and higher the chance for gemming, the less interested I am on clan wars.

Try organizing a cup push, and call it clan wars.

Challenge any clan you know for clan score.

If that doesn't hype them up, neither will clan wars.

i totally agree...unfortunately many people quit from top farming clans, making already the social aspect of the game negative... other people are on the edge of quitting since they go backwards instead of pregressing... i do not want to see the effect that this update will impact to many players if it is just a new troop or decreased cost of some upgrades... as you said if something totally new does not appear in the upcoming update, unfortunately many people including my self will take a good break:/
