My diamonds are disappearing before my eyes!

I had 46. Then I had 34. Then 31 an hour ago. Now I have 28! I haven't even touched the game and I have lost 3. They are just falling away! What is this?

If you haven't used your diamonds even accidently then you can raise the issue with Supercell.

in game tap the cog top left corner, tap 'feedback and issues' then tap 'report an issue'
it may take a while to get an answer as they are a busy team.
