    The same issue happens in legends league and it makes sense bc there’s a predetermined schedule and last second attacks that prolong then next match start time affect many people. Same principle applies to cwl ... it caught me once too and it’s the kind of thing that, while extremely maddening, I understood why and never waited until last minute again.

    Although it does make sense in that squinty sort of way, it’s nonsensical in that it doesn’t mirror the behaviour of one-on-one wars. I think SC should implement some kind of separate attack countdown timer in cwl (and legends for that matter) if they’re going to keep it operating in this squinty kind of way.

    It’s the same in regular wars, though. and always has been.

    It makes the same amount of sense to prevent players from attacking in the last seconds of war as it would to allow a player to continue attacking after the 24 hours ended. If you really want the war day to be a hard 24 hours, then barely 15 seconds into your attack, the war should end, you lose all your troops, and you still lose. Rather than allow players to attack late and force a new mechanic that would end an attack prematurely, they chose to prevent players from attacking in the last seconds of battle day. It’s unfortunate that you got caught by this, but it’s nothing new. Wars have been this way all along. There are many, many threads about it going back to the beginning.

    Sorry, your comment here makes no sense at all... if the war timer for the countdown is still running, then I should be able to attack... right up to 1 second remaining... and as per how late attacks work, once started the attack counts. Even the portions that run overtime. This is what my post is about....

    However:
    If you want to say that the war ends completely after 24hrs, and any ongoing attack that is running after the 24hrs just ends, I’m fine with this also, if they bring it in, then we know where we stand.... But this has nothing to do with my post, as I couldn’t get any of it in even though the war was still running based on the timer.
    This is really a different topic and it would be very helpful if you didn’t sidetrack the issue with other matters that don’t really relate to my post.
