I really like sandals suggestion of 1million free gems per day, theres some merit there lol (live the dream!)

More seriously though, leagues need substantial work and I suggest some form of interaction between league players or an option to switch up to a higher league to test ones abilities - any substantial game content would be welcome.

Interestingly enough, I would like to see some type of tournament for low level players to engage the whole spectrum of the playing community

i think your idea is good. if you haven't already, take the time to read Mastermind's Daily/Weekly/Monthly Quests thread. it shows how after completing quests you can get rewards. this i think is a better idea than tournaments. The 'benefits' are not as large as they would be if you won a tournament but they are spread out more so everyone who participates wins.

Closing this for now, ill clean it up a bit shortly. Some food for thought in the mean time: Why must you all try to troll eachother so much? The op has a very valid point, and I cant see anyone realistically not wanting more tournements, rewards, insentives to play etc etc. Theres obviously a demand for it, in the donation competition I hosted months ago for example, over 40 clans signed up..

on topic.... the resolution to this problem is simple... masterminds quests idea.....

if all you do is add things in the update and continue to ignore the obvious fundamental problems I shall be quitting.... I've been playing less and less since this loot problem... I can't be bothered to wait 30 mins to break even on,attacks anymore... update will decide wether many quit or continue playing.. add something gamechanging such as tournaments or lose a TON of players

I recently saw a forum post about some charity funding? how many gems were donated for the tournament by supercell team? 500

500 ! that's something for a company like Supercell

let's ignore prices, How about some tournaments to just brag about winning them? something like hitting the hall of fame for a day per league range?

First off, don't even try comparing a humongous company like Valve to Supercell. The two companies are in totally different leagues. Secondly, like you said, this game is just a 50mb apple/android app. Give it some slack. Updates will come out in time, and supercell is obviously aware that they need to make a few changes. Patience boy, patience!

I have recently started playing another game, a copy or clone use whichever term you wish but it is in many respects inferior to CoC.

Yet even though its inferior it has some aspects that enhance the "social" game play beyond what we have here.

I fear that because SC have not reacted to the plethora of requests about gameplay enhancements they now have a problem. I have a great respect for SC and what they have achieved both in terms of software and business and its clear, and has been evident for a long time, that whatever they introduce it has to be as good as they can make it before they release it to the public. some have been successes (such as heros) and some have been failures (leagues) but they are always delivered with quality.

Now back to my point, the corner they now find themselves in is one where they have to introduce something completely original, so for example they cannot and will not introduce the "War" concept that exist in that other game and although that is not clan wars its a great game play feature that would work within CoC. This i assume (or hope) is a matter for huge debate within SC and i for one hope they are willing to put their necks on the line with something new and not just continue to appease their masters.

SC will be delighted imo that there are so many copy cat games, however they should be concerned that people are tuning out and spending more time in those other games because they cannot deliver anything other than upgrades and nerfs.

They claim they listen to the people and this was shown by the recent sneak peak boost time reduction, yet what they have done is a very clever strategic move to try and get more people gemming without actually adjusting their bottom line.

If they had listened and understood what people where saying was they loved the 1 gem boost because it gave us a faster paced game at a cost that people thought was acceptable - loot was generally much improved also. Yes people will like the 2hr boost and im sure they will see an increase in gem activity, personally i will not be boosting as i personally do not consider it good value for money.

Heres hoping SC has something spectacular up their development sleeves for this update
