Is there a point where you stopped increasing barn and silo storage?

My barn and silo both have capacity 775 and I find that I never come close to running out of space. Is there a point where you stopped or is it better to just keep on expanding?

Im 800 barn and 675 silo, but am always running out of space! - I'm aiming for 1000 on both, as a personal goal. I think I will continue to expand, just not so vigorously?

Depends on how you play the game. Some people specialize in selling things like fruit. Brings in a lot of money, but takes up no barn space, so they sell their expansion items.

If you want to level up fast and/or help your friends, or earn vouchers, you probably need a bigger barn than you have. Eventually, you'll want to stockpile items, to have them on hand for boats (yours and your friends'). And the higher you go, the more items become available, and the more room you need to store them.

My barn and silo are around 1000 each, and while I rarely come close filling up the silo, space is pretty tight in the barn. Many people have far larger barns than mine, and are still expanding.

FWIW, the max is currently 10,000.

I said I was gonna stop expanding my barn at 1000...then told myself to keep expanding to 2000...once I got there I went for 3000. Currently at 3450 and see no end in sight. Part of the fun for me is scouring the DD and friends' shops for those BEMs. I still get a rush for being the first to snatch up those BEMs in the paper. If I'm ever done expanding, seeing those planks, bolts and tapes will mean nothing to me anymore. So onwards and upwards!

I'll stop at 4000 err maybe not

I felt the same with the land expanders. Even though I've unlocked all areas I still get a little jolt when I see one in the paper.

Since many updates bring new produce and products, it seems I have a need for an ever increasing barn size.

That sounds so, so familiar, lol. You can never have enough storage space, because you will always fill it.. And you WILL keep getting those "Your Barn/Silo is full" messages.

That's pretty much how I feel. Except I never told myself I was going to stop.

For me snagging those expansion items is the biggest thrill of the game, and expanding my barn and silo is what I enjoy most. Leveling up? Masteries? Diamonds? Vouchers? All very nice, but gathering enough items for the next expansion is what I really love. I plan to keep going until I get tired of Hay Day or reach 10,000.

And if I do reach 10,000, I'll be disappointed that the hunt for planks is over.

Of course, by then the max might be 100,000!

You have to hunt for planks? I haven't bought one in a while and I have 60+ in my inventory as opposed to only 11 duct tapes (which I buy every time I see one for sale)

Planks are scarcer than hen's teeth on my farm. I get panels and bolts galore, but hardly any planks or nails.

I traded over 100 bolts for planks this week...and still have more bolts than planks. And I've got over 100 panels, only a few nails and screws.

But that's what makes it a challenge!
