Why has "hide online status" been ruled out?

In the new friend system it is a hide online button, just saying.

That's only for scid friends not in game.


Only way would be to follow what toofinedog said.

Alternatively, if you really don't want people to know when and how much you play the game, you can simply leave your clan and unfriend everyone, going off the radar for everyone.
Is the trade-off worth it? That's up to you to decide.

Settings - connected - settings - show online status. Only works in scid list.

Will you please clarify what you are actually asking? And why you think it is ruled out? And why you would (if I interpret correctly) you would want to wipe out the one minor bit of usefulness of making a friend connection?

Op has not answered the question as to what the question is and where it is ruled out. Imo, it is not ruled out. But ops clarification did not clarify.

From what I have readed op don't want to see who is online but wants to hide his online status, though it's still not clear why someone would do that, when one can simply unfriend them

Why do you believe it is ruled out generally?
You can see how many people are online in clan.
You can see which friends are online.

Simply make all your clanmates friends and you can see who is online in your clan.🙄

We need the OP to clarify what he was actually asking.

And for most of the things which are ruled out, we can only speculate. Sometimes SC gives reasons why they want something ruled out, but quite a few of the things on the list have never had reasons given.

To be fair, I can understand OP's wishes to be able to have some anonymity when one doesnt feel very socially inclined..
After all, in a world where everybody can track you down anywhere, anytime, a little privacy sometimes is sacred.

Yeah, you can unfriend them.. Yeah you can leave the clan..
And being alone may seem a little strange in a social game that is built around kinship and togetherness..
But it is only when you really want to be left alone that some option would become priceless..

To be fair, in our clan, folk have learned when I wish to stay in the background..
I still donate constantly.. I still do my attacks.. But I want to be left alone, so kudos to the guys and gals for acknowledging this..
I am on almost every clan members friends list.

As to ruled out ideas.. Does it really matter why?
All that list implies is that for the time being, a particular topic isnt being considered for inclusion within the game..
And since it isnt being considered, what is the point of discussing it over and over..

Ruled out ideas only make it onto the list if it is requested regularly in my experience, to prevent the topic from having to be addressed each time..
And removal without notice of a ruled out idea thread is a pretty obvious move too..
Since repeated thread topics are common place in forum.
