Probably an April Fools joke. Hopefully not though.

I still remember in 2019 when April update got delayed by 1 day due to a bug and players around the globe thought it as a prank by Supercell on April fools day because they officially declared that update will release on April 1.

I think accidents like that are the reason they never nail down a specific day for an update. If they do pull a prank, they should release the spring update before April. I would be totally fooled.
